# 10 · Cloud story

**Ten minutes · outdoor noticing / talk.** **You need:** A safe view of the
sky from a window or shaded outdoor place. A scrap of paper is optional.
Never look at or point a camera directly at the sun.

**Play:** Choose one cloud or patch of sky. Ask what it reminds the child of.
It may be “nothing,” a shape, a colour or an invented character. Tell a
two-line story together or just watch it change. Try a different view if
there are no clouds.

**Adult says:** “What do you see?” “What could happen next in your story?”
“Has the shape changed?” Keep imagination and observation distinct: a
cloud can look like a boat without being a boat.

**Child chooses:** Watch, tell, sign, draw, move a hand like a cloud or
decline the story.

**Notice:** Did they notice a change, invent a detail, or build on your
idea? Their “nothing” may be an honest observation.

**Access and safety:** Describe shapes aloud for low vision or make a soft
fabric “cloud” to move by touch. Use the indoor window route in heat, rain
or poor air. No screen is needed; a private photo of the sky is optional.
