# Student checks · fresh public sources

These are short formative first responses, not a QCAA instrument or a full-year result. Keep [teacher key](teacher/KEY-AND-NEXT.md) closed until after capture. Read the source exactly. A child can point, use AAC, draw, arrange broad fixed cards or direct an adult; the adult records help. Physical dancing, public sharing and home work are not conditions. The sources are invented abstract marks, not copied community dances.

**Source:** A fictional paper maker drew a compact spiral in moment 1 and left moments 2 and 3 blank. The maker says, “I want my idea to take more room by the end, while a viewer can still recognise the same mark.” No movement has been performed.

**Your turn:** Finish a two- or three-moment paper movement score. Show a choice that fits the maker statement and tell or indicate what changed and what stayed. You may draw, point, use AAC, sign or direct an adult. You can pass on performing it.

**Source:** A fresh abstract hook appears once in the LOWER band of moment 1. Moments 2 and 3 are blank. LOWER, MIDDLE and UPPER are relative positions on this paper score; none requires floor contact or high reach.

**Your turn:** Make a three-moment score in which a recognisable hook returns, and the path includes **one size difference** and **one relative-band difference**. Tell or indicate your intended idea. Any safe abstract path works. Draw, arrange, point, sign, use AAC or direct an adult. No physical performance is required.
