# Fresh cue-stand brief, safe materials and exact invented sources

**School gate:** the teacher checks the current school safety, classroom-sign, child-safety, privacy, material and access procedures. This Design pack does not teach an official safety action. Any *real* school sign or familiar product/service/environment is selected by the school, shown in its proper context, and entered in the [blank local-source slot](print/school-sign-slot.pdf) with source/date/permission and what a child actually noticed. A teacher-made cue must say **PRACTICE CUE**, never mimic an official emergency or health sign, and must not ask a child to share names, addresses, photos or experiences.

**No-purchase kit:** A4/reused broad paper sheets, large printed source cards, thick pencil, and a stable clear table. Adults check paper edges, size, visibility and whether folding is appropriate; they prepare all print/cuts. No child scissors, blades, pins, staples, tape, string, magnets, tiny pieces, electricity, food, water or load-bearing structures. Fold only a large blunt edge under supervision; no child must touch. A child may direct an adult's fold and stand, use AAC/pointing/speech/drawing or stay plan-only. An adult demonstration is adult material action, not a child's. No home making or testing is required.

**Held public checks:** Day 35 [Board Game Cue](print/check-a-board-game-cue.pdf) uses a fresh fictional instruction **POINT then MARK**, with two large action labels that must remain visible in order; children propose two different broad-paper layouts and choose one without a real trial. Day 40 [Repeat Stand](print/check-b-repeat-stand.pdf) uses a separate fresh invented strip **BUMP TICK BUMP TICK BUMP TICK**, target two-item unit **BUMP then TICK**. A child designs two stand/spacing ideas, selects one, gives safe steps and, only if actually tried under school approval, records **UPRIGHT / FLAT / NOT TRIED** plus whether the ordered labels were readable. These held details are withheld from routine practice before first responses.

**Evidence note:** privately record the child's idea, chosen purpose, route, adult content cue, who physically folded/placed material, actual stand result, what a real reader said or did *if one exists*, and one revision. Do not upload child work or attribute adult handling to the child. A plan-only route has safe making/testing **not observed**. An unasked or unobserved user response stays unknown.
