# Two fresh public formative checks · child copy

Your teacher can read each source aloud and write your exact words. Draw, point, sign, use AAC or direct an adult. First responses are collected before feedback. These are **not secure exams**. No real school sign, personal story, purchase, cutting, home test or physical performance is required. A drawn stand is a plan, not proof it stood upright.

## Check A · Day 35 · Board Game Cue

Use the [large A4 source](print/check-a-board-game-cue.pdf) or ask for its full text. A pretend board-game maker wants another pretend player to do two things in this order: **POINT** at a drawn token, **then MARK** a blank space on a paper board. The printed labels POINT and MARK must both stay visible and their order clear. These are fictional paper actions; no real player has tried a cue.

1. Show **two different broad-paper cue layouts** that could make this order clear. Draw them, describe them or direct an adult. You may change position, spacing, boxes or arrows, but keep both labels.
2. Choose one and explain why it might help the pretend player see POINT first and MARK second.
3. What would you need to observe before saying a real player could follow your cue? No actual reader or material result is provided.

An adult records a child's dictated words and any content cue. There is no prefilled successful result.

## Check B · Day 40 · Repeat Stand

Use the [large A4 source](print/check-b-repeat-stand.pdf) or ask for its full text. A pretend reader sees six invented marks in this exact order: **BUMP TICK BUMP TICK BUMP TICK**. The two-mark part to show together is **BUMP then TICK**, repeated three times. Design a large broad-paper tabletop stand/front that could help the reader see each pair and keep all printed labels clear. Your teacher decides whether a safe fold/stand trial is possible.

1. Show **two distinguishable broad stand-front or spacing ideas**. Choose one and explain how it groups BUMP with the following TICK, three times.
2. Say safe steps: who checks/prepares full-size paper, who folds or directs, where it would stand, and what you would inspect.
3. If a supervised real try occurs, report only what happened to the stand: **UPRIGHT / FLAT / NOT TRIED**. If no safe try occurs, choose NOT TRIED. Report label readability only if a real reader actually checked it; otherwise say unknown. A drawing or an adult-only demonstration does not prove you handled paper.
4. Name one change or next question linked to the actual result or unknown.

The printed check contains no chosen design, prior result or reader response. The adult records who physically acted separately from who designed/directed.
