# Foundation / Queensland Prep Design and Technologies · Term 2 Weeks 15–16

This eighth original fortnight follows the [paper alignment guide](../weeks-13-14/README.md) with a new kind of decision: **which broad material helps a particular user and purpose?** In Week 15, children design a large tabletop pad for a gentle, optional call-and-response cue. In Week 16, they reconsider safe large materials as a **dry landing pad** for empty unbreakable A/B vessels. A material that seems useful for a soft tap is not assumed to suit a container, or every child. Children propose two ideas, try only locally approved actions, keep actual user feedback, and revise from evidence or an honest unknown.

The Design pack teaches purpose, material choice, safe making and evaluation. It does not establish musical composition/performance, hearing ability, observed Science material properties, respectful turn taking or mathematics capacity. No sound, water or vessel result is pre-written.

Home bridges require only talk or drawing; no purchase, printer, instrument, vessel, water or home test.

**Evidence gate:** The printed pads are proposals. An actual child material action needs a school-approved full-size clean pad and a real, comfortable optional try. Record who handled material. For a cue, record the *willing user's actual words/action* if any, with no universal “quiet” result inferred. For a dry landing try, an adult controls empty unbreakable vessels and records whether each vessel base is **FULLY ON / EDGE OFF / NOT TRIED** on the chosen broad pad. This is not a tipping, leak, strength or capacity test. If no physical try is suitable, the plan-only route stays complete and physical outcomes are **NOT TRIED**. A real familiar product/service/environment for AC9TDEFK01 is locally selected and actually observed; the fictional examples do not supply it.
