# Two fresh public formative checks · child copies

Your teacher may read every word and write your exact words. Draw, point, sign, use AAC or direct an adult. Save your first idea before help. These are **not secure exams**. No printer, purchase, outdoor visit, compulsory touch, folding or home action is needed. A folder drawing is a plan, and a printed question is never permission. Only an approved actual handling/reader try can have a physical/user result.

## Check A · Day 85 · Lantern Drawing Handoff

A pretend lantern maker drew two cards from **one invented picture**. **CLOSE CARD** shows **ONE CIRCLE**. **WIDE CARD** shows **ONE CIRCLE AND TWO SQUARES**. They are marks, not a real lantern or photograph. A new reader wants both cards together and wants to know which one shows more. **No folder or reader result is supplied.**

1. Show **two different broad-paper folder ideas** for handing over both cards. They can differ in opening, large outside label or inside card location. Keep the cards identifiable without colour alone.
2. Choose one for the new reader and say why it might help them find CLOSE and WIDE.
3. What can the reader know from CLOSE alone? What remains outside that view until WIDE is shown? What would a real willing reader need to do before we say your folder was findable?

The response page has two empty design spaces. No actual fold, card selection or viewer answer is printed. An adult records any design idea they supplied.

## Check B · Day 90 · Garden-view Request Handoff

Use the [large A4 source](print/check-b-garden-request.pdf) or ask for its full text. In a **fictional school**, a class has a teacher-provided large paper picture on a garden-view table. They want to ask a responsible school contact: **“May we return this picture to the class shelf? We want the shared table clear for the next person.”** The **SCHOOL CONTACT ANSWER** space is blank. This is not a real school place, visit or permission. Nobody should move a real item because of this page.

1. Show **two different large folder ideas** for carrying the question and a later actual answer together. Choose one for the responsible adult and explain the opening/label/card place that might help.
2. Say safe steps for any real paper: who checks/prepares it, who could fold or insert under adult approval, and what a willing user would be asked to find in an ordinary try. No shaking, drop or load test.
3. What is the permission status **on this source now**? Who could fill an actual answer? If no approved material/reader try occurs, report **NOT TRIED** for making and finding. A fictional drawing cannot prove either.
4. Give one proposed change or next question from an actual approved result or from what is still unknown.

The printed answer space and both design spaces are blank. **WAITING / NO ANSWER** is the truthful permission status until a real authorised reply exists. No care action, physical folder or user response is supplied.
