# Foundation / Queensland Prep Digital Technologies · Term 1 Weeks 1–2

Ten original 25-minute Days 1–10 lessons introduce how the **same invented data** can be shown with objects, pictures and symbols; what a locally approved digital system is for; and which kinds of data about a child can be personal. Start with the [exact fictional sources and setup](MATERIALS.md), teach the [daily scripts](LESSONS.md), offer [three switchable child routes per day](LEARNER-CARDS.md), and choose from [twenty worked context swaps](PRACTICE-SWAPS.md). Eight original [A4 SVG/PDF aids have complete linear/tactile versions](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md). [Days 5/10 public formative checks](STUDENT-CHECKS.md) have a [separate public teacher-targeted key](teacher/KEY-AND-NEXT.md); collect first child-controlled answers before feedback.

The small [offline representation switcher](interactive/data-switch.html) can be used **only on a locally approved device**, with adult supervision and the school's access/device rules. It has keyboard buttons, no accounts, network requests, uploads, storage or personal input. The [paper board](print/object-picture-symbol-mat.pdf) and [full text instructions](interactive/PAPER-EQUIVALENT.md) provide the same representation task without a screen. The paper route can evidence data representation; it cannot by itself establish that the child explored or used a **digital system**. If a child uses an actual approved device, record what hardware/software they recognised and what purpose they showed, not just that a button was clicked.

This fortnight offers **partial** K02 representation and P01 category recognition. K01 is **conditional** on actual appropriate digital-system exploration. No child name, image, voice, location, account or other identifying data is collected or typed. The examples are fictional, not a claim that a privacy category alone completes digital safety education.
