# Two fresh public formative checks · learner copy

These are public practice checks, **not secure exams**. Your teacher reads the invented source without giving its groups. You may move broad safe physical tokens, point to original pictures, use words/raised symbols/AAC, draw, direct an adult or pass. The adult saves your first complete response and help before feedback. A paper answer does not show you used a running digital system. No real plant, material, child name, face, voice, address or account is collected.

## Check A · Day 25 · Paper Display Depot

Use the unfamiliar [A4 source with five original badge pictures](print/check-a-display-depot.pdf) or its [exact text/tactile route](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md#check-a--paper-display-depot). The fictional source says: ID 1 **square, dotted border**; 2 **oval, dotted**; 3 **square, plain**; 4 **oval, border NOT SHOWN**; 5 **square, plain**. A border that is not shown is unknown from this source, not a plain border. Agreed code key: `Q` square, `O` oval, `D` dotted, `P` plain, `?` not shown.

1. Place **five broad physical stand-ins** beside their source pictures. Under the question **“Which SHAPE?”**, put all five IDs into SQUARE or OVAL groups. Explain one placement from the source.
2. Now keep the same source but ask **“Which BORDER?”**. Put all five IDs into DOTTED, PLAIN or CANNOT TELL groups. Do not guess a hidden border.
3. Pick **one** source ID. Show its physical stand-in, matching drawn picture and agreed two-part symbol. If the border is not shown, keep `?` in its symbol.

**Save first:** both complete groupings, explicit unknown, one three-form match, source reason and route. The source is made up; this does not record a real outdoor feature.

## Check B · Day 30 · Paper Tool Trial

Use the unfamiliar [A4 fictional trial record](print/check-b-tool-trial.pdf) or its [exact text/tactile route](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md#check-b--paper-tool-trial). The invented source says: **K SLIPPED**, **L NOT TESTED**, **M HELD**, **N HELD**. Agreed outcome symbols are `SL` slipped, `?` not tested and `H` held. The source does not name materials or report this class's actual test.

1. With four broad **physical stand-ins**, pictures and agreed symbols, put K/L/M/N into **HELD**, **SLIPPED**, **NOT TESTED** groups. Explain why an untested sample is not placed as a failed test.
2. Choose one ID and connect its physical stand-in, matching source picture/word and outcome symbol.
3. Two cards say **MY VOICE RECORDING · EMPTY** and **FICTIONAL HOLDER SYMBOL · NEUTRAL**. Which kind *could* be your own personal data if filled? Leave it empty. Explain why the invented holder symbol is different. No recording is made.

**Save first:** all group placements, one three-form link, blank-category choice, reason and route. This paper check cannot establish an actual material result or use of a running digital system.
