# Foundation English · child-facing choice cards · Days 141–150

Adult: read each route aloud, show only the small **child print** segment if its links have been taught, and offer the same choice in large print, tactile tokens or AAC. The child chooses a context and response mode. The [adult sources](MATERIALS.md) may be read again. Days 145 and 150 are **practice after** a separate new check; this page contains no answer key or unseen source. A “pass” choice for public sharing always stands.

## Day 141

- **Book cart:** Make two quiet beats and one wait for a paper book cart. **Child print:** `tap tap`
- **Maker table:** Place two broad dots and one empty space for a tool display. **Child print:** `a mat`
- **Paper show:** Direct an adult to show two movements and one still part. **Child print:** `i can tap`

## Day 142

- **Seat sign:** Listen to two words from the poem; mark whether their endings sound alike. **Child print:** `sit on a mat`
- **Bookmark:** Hear a second word pair and choose same or different ending sound. **Child print:** `a red cap`
- **Paper stage:** Tell the adult which poem line you want again. **Child print:** `i can see`

## Day 143

- **Book labels:** Listen for two words with the same starting sound. **Child print:** `a cap`
- **Maker names:** Give two familiar spoken object names beginning alike. **Child print:** `a cup`
- **Toy-stage props:** Show a start marker for one pair and an end marker for another. **Child print:** `tap on a mat`

## Day 144

- **Book invite:** Make a beat/mark invitation for someone who can join or watch. **Child print:** `i can tap`
- **Maker display:** Ask a listener what your two marks and rest box mean; change one part. **Child print:** `tap tap`
- **Paper show:** Offer a silent sign or sound cue and let a listener pass. **Child print:** `sit on a mat`

## Day 145 · after your check

- **Beat card:** Invent a different two-part beat and a rest; show the key to a listener. **Child print:** `tap tap`
- **Book-cart line:** Draw what a familiar poem says without adding a feeling it did not tell us. **Child print:** `a map on a mat`
- **Paper show:** Choose an oral starting-sound pair, then say if it rhymes too. **Child print:** `i can see`

## Day 146

- **Paper sign:** Put a fictional first sign, change and test in order. **Child print:** `a red mat`
- **Book display:** Tell what slipped in Mina's story and what changed. **Child print:** `a cap on a mat`
- **Toy stage:** Use three picture steps to retell the stand story. **Child print:** `i can see it`

## Day 147

- **Bookmark holder:** Say what a character changed and why, using only the story. **Child print:** `a red cap`
- **Paper stage:** Put the story's problem beside its change. **Child print:** `it is on a mat`
- **Welcome sign:** Choose a sentence that tells what was tested. **Child print:** `i can see it`

## Day 148

- **Library label:** Ask one question a paper-card test could answer. **Child print:** `a map`
- **Maker display:** Point to a drawn change and say what still needs testing. **Child print:** `ten on a mat`
- **Paper theatre:** Choose a safe test condition and a pass route for a listener. **Child print:** `i can see`

## Day 149

- **Paper prop:** Create a before/change/reason message and ask what a listener understood. **Child print:** `a cap`
- **Sign:** Draw a test result and use one true word to describe it. **Child print:** `it is red`
- **Model holder:** Change one part of your first report after a listener asks. **Child print:** `i can tap`

## Day 150 · after your check

- **New sign:** Use a different fictional test and write/dictate what happened. **Child print:** `a red mat`
- **Storyboard:** Show first try, changed try and the question still open. **Child print:** `i can see it`
- **Maker invitation:** Explain a safe improvement to a chosen listener or direct an adult to show it. **Child print:** `it is on a mat`

**Print route note:** Every child line requires a taught-point check. For any untaught word, adult reads it and logs the oral/comprehension route separately.
