# Foundation / Prep English · Weeks 35–36 · Days 171–180

**Teacher draft, 29 September 2026.** Week 35 asks how people can share a place fairly, using a fictional paper-mat disagreement to practise a request, reason, listening and a checkable proposal. Week 36 asks how to teach someone a shape or repeating pattern with directions the listener can follow and help improve. Neither week asks a child to describe a private home conflict, disclose access needs or perform for a public audience.

**Set up in five minutes:** Read the named source; lay out broad paper tokens and the relevant A4 source/mat; offer point, sign, AAC, private speech, drawing, child-directed scribing or optional taught print. Paper substitutes for any real game, room or device. A child may pass on touch or role-play. On Day 174 or 179, ask a consenting listener what they understood and preserve the first and revised version. Adult-read rich text is listening/viewing evidence, not independent decoding; child-print strips and fresh CVC checks occur only at each child's taught grapheme–sound point.
