# Foundation / Prep English · Weeks 37–38 · Days 181–190

**Teacher draft, 29 September 2026.** Week 37 asks a clear question and reads a small, original **fictional paper-card inventory** without turning it into a claim about children's preferences. Week 38 edits a statement about **two invented plant drawings** so the words say only what the source shows, then plans an optional school-approved real observation. The drawings are rehearsal sources, not local species or evidence that a living thing actually grew.

**Set up in five minutes:** Adult reads the day's source, places broad paper category/leaf cards or reads their linear descriptions, and gives a marker or AAC/pointing option. The child can choose a context and communication route, including quiet/private sharing. If a real local investigation is chosen, the teacher first approves the site/material/child access, records date and what was actually seen, and permits a pass. No child survey, personal preference, image upload, living-thing handling or family disclosure is required. Adult-read rich text supports listening/viewing; optional child print is only shown at the individual's explicitly taught grapheme–sound point. Keep Days 185/190 check text and keys private until the first independent response is recorded.
