# Exact linear readings and tactile/no-print routes

The page text is selectable in PDF; colour is never the sole clue. The alternatives below identify every illustrated mark and every source claim needed for the same task. A child may point, sign, use AAC, move counters, dictate or use enlarged print. A tactile setup is a constructed equivalent, not a tested accessibility accommodation. Do not add a maker or outcome the source does not say.

Source A is an undated drawing. A rectangular hanging paper Story Table sign has a hole at top, one blue circle above three wavy lines (the lines are blue). The drawing does not name a maker and does not say whether anyone used the sign. Tactile/no-print: use a rectangle of paper, one hole marker, one round counter and three bent strings in that top-to-bottom order; label A aloud.

Source B, Ivo's maker note, written 12 June in the invented story. Exact words: ‘I made the paper sign for our pretend Story Table. I drew a blue circle and three wavy lines so my friend could find the table. I do not know whether every visitor used it.’ Tactile/no-print: give a B writer token marked Ivo and a small circle plus three strings; speak the exact quotation. This is purpose, not visitor result.

Source C, Sol's later display caption, written 14 June in the invented story. Exact words: ‘I copied Ivo's note for this label. Ivo made the blue paper sign. Everyone found the table because of it.’ The page diagrams COPY then ADDED CLAIM. Tactile/no-print: lay B and C writer tiles side by side; place the maker clause between them and keep the everyone claim on a separate unverified tile.

Source D, Tala's visitor note, written 15 June in the invented story. Exact words: ‘I saw the blue circle when I visited. I found the Story Table after asking Ivo where it was. I cannot speak for other visitors.’ The picture shows a person beside a small sign, not an actual visit. Tactile/no-print: use a Tala token and three moves SEE CIRCLE, ASK IVO, FIND TABLE; leave OTHER VISITORS blank.

Four source boxes: A OBJECT DRAWING asks what marks are visible, maker unnamed; B MAKER'S NOTE asks what Ivo reports doing and wanting; C LATER CAPTION asks what was copied and added; D VISITOR'S NOTE asks what Tala alone reports. A later date does not make an unsupported claim true. Tactile/no-print: use four large letter cards A to D, one raised border per card, and read each description exactly.

Four boxes with arrows from 1 to 4: 1 SOURCE SAYS: show a detail and name its source; 2 PERSON SAYS: keep one person's purpose or view attributed; 3 I CAN CONCLUDE: use only the evidence already in hand; 4 STILL OPEN: ask what new approved source is needed. A private explanation or pointing route is fine. Tactile/no-print: four numbered raised cards in order, with a physical gap after card 3 for unknowns.

Fresh Check A, invented Pocket Card. Source 1 is an unsigned drawing: rectangular pocket card, orange square near top, two black dots below. Source 2, Kira's note dated 3 May: ‘I drew the orange square and two dots so my partner could pick the music game card. I do not know whether anyone else picked it.’ Source 3, Nox's caption dated 5 May: ‘I copied Kira's line about the square and dots. Every player picked the music game because of it.’ Tactile/no-print: use a rectangle, one square and two counters, then read Source 2 and Source 3 exactly from STUDENT-CHECKS.md; no answer hints.

Fresh Check B, invented Shelf Tag. Source 1 is an unsigned drawing: paper tag, green diamond above three black bars. Source 2, Una's note dated 7 May: ‘I made a tag for the pretend Story Shelf. I drew a green diamond and three bars. I hoped a friend could find the shelf.’ Source 3, Remy's caption dated 8 May: ‘Everyone used Una's tag to find the shelf.’ Source 4, Ellis's note dated 9 May: ‘I saw the green diamond. I asked Una where the books were. Then I found the shelf. I do not know about anyone else.’ Tactile/no-print: use a rectangle, diamond and three bars, and four raised source numbers; read exact check text without answer hints.
