# Ten free optional family/carer bridges

Every bridge uses invented sources only, takes around 2–5 minutes and may be skipped. Class learning needs **no purchase, device, printing, home object, photograph, translation, answer return, adult availability or real family-event disclosure**. A carer may use a familiar spoken language, point, sign or do nothing. These are not scored homework or invitations to share private history.

| 112 | Put one paper token by OPENING and one by LATER MARKING; leave names blank if notice gives none. |
| 113 | Say “Alba tells Alba's reason”; invite a child to finish “we do not know ___ about the others.” |
| 114 | Read Jun's fictional words and practise “We know Jun did not make one; we do not know why.” |
| 115 | Fresh check day: offer rest or celebrate a careful question; do not practise Paper Gate Day answers first. |
| 116 | Compare “Why did everyone?” with “Did you join? You may pass.” A child can choose the gentler question. |
| 117 | Ask which invented source answers Alba's reason and whether Jun's reason has been supplied. |
| 118 | Build a three-part spoken account: event fact, Alba says, Jun says; stop at “reason not told.” |
| 119 | A child may privately tell a willing carer one source fact and an optional question; silence is equally acceptable. |
| 120 | Fresh check day: ask which source question the child liked, not for test answers or family histories. |
