# Ready a display kit and try logbook

Per pair: broad tabletop place base; square BOARD cue left and round TABLE cue right; two large feature-page cards (BOARD PAGE/TABLE PAGE); two blank arrangement bases; broad named-source flaps; PLAN, ASK, PASS, REPORTED TRY, ACTUAL RESPONSE and OPEN tabs; adult-prepared four-panel logbook or four flat sheets; blank handover/care record; pencil/scribe. Adult pre-makes frames/folds. Large reusable pieces, raised outlines or exact no-touch reading/adult-directed placement carry full task; colour isn't required. No small loose parts, sharp tools, glue, device/printer/purchase, real exchange or public performance needed. Shapes identify supplied features; no shape/number/pattern test. An inquiry model isn't a navigation/emergency map.

Read exact invented A–F sources below. All place, people, requests, plans and reported paper tries are fictional. Two layouts use the same feature pages; **equal paper space does not establish agreement or fairness**. Participant reports remain their own accounts under their stated layout/try, not eyewitness proof of real conditions or a controlled experiment.

**Complete paper project:** make A's place base and two feature pages. Keep C1/C2 reasons attached to their source. Make D care/ask-first flap and B's two separate arrangement bases with same large cards; use source labels rather than vote/count tokens. Put first directions on a blank logbook panel. Read E/F as later reports, keeping their different conditions/people separate. A child may invite a genuinely willing private adult for a table-model try, or use a paper listener explicitly labelled ROLE PLAY. Record actual model making/action/response/help only if observed; a role-play reply is invented, not peer evidence. Keep original sources intact. Revise one step/source label and put the paper cards in broad model folder, preserving first/revised directions and a care handover note.

No personal drawing/name/identity needs public display. Source actual meaning/care procedure. The owner approves temporary private picture arrangement, location, materials, audience and return step; child/reader can pass/withdraw. No real wall/furniture/property movement/installation without explicit scope. If no trial is permitted, make useful private owner-review kit and explain care; action/use fields stay open/not done. No actual name/place/time/permission/response is pre-filled.
