# Foundation / Queensland Prep HPE · Term 1 Weeks 5–6

**Teacher draft · ten optional 25-minute sessions, Days 21–30.** Week 5 gives children a choice of an approved, accessible low-impact outdoor activity route and a way to say what they personally noticed or what remains unknown. It complements [integrated Week 5 living-things work](../../../term-1/week-05-living-features.md), but an HPE activity record is separate from a Science observation. Week 6 makes a small cooperative movement sequence with school-approved large equipment, individual action choices and fair turn rules. It complements [integrated Week 6 materials work](../../../term-1/week-06-materials-that-help.md), but testing a card holder does not evidence a child's physical activity.

**Real Week 5 gate:** an educator checks the actual date, weather, sun, hazards, supervision, approved location, access, mobility equipment boundaries and rest/stop options. No child touches an unknown plant, fungus, animal or outdoor material; no picking, feeding or chasing. The chosen activity can be a level route, stationary movement at an approved viewing place, or another individually suitable option. Outdoor participation is optional. If only an indoor view, a map or adult demonstration is available, mark **OUTDOOR PHYSICAL ACTIVITY NOT OBSERVED**; still teach source and choice reasoning. Do not invent a benefit that a child felt. A personal reflection is invited, never required.

**Real Week 6 gate:** use only adult-checked large clean class-owned equipment, a stable wide area, an accessible agreed stop signal and no racing, throwing, child-to-child contact, forced touch, forced body position or peer comparison. A child may choose an actual suitable travel/propulsion, stable pause or large-object action after local access checks. A paper sequence or adult action is planning, not child physical skill. Consent to use class equipment or another person's space is asked afresh; “no” is accepted without a reason. Stop any activity on the child's signal. Real safety requests follow current school policy, not a fictional case.

**Status:** original partial HPE draft pending human educator, safeguarding, accessibility, equipment, local-syllabus and classroom review. The verifier proves internal consistency, not safety, efficacy, a real lesson trial or ACARA/QCAA endorsement. No child progress, attendance, benefit or physical outcome is invented.
