Primary source: [QCAA Australian Curriculum v9 Prep Media Arts achievement standard aligned to content descriptions](https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/downloads/aciqv9/the-arts/curriculum/ac9_media_arts_prep_as_cd_alignment.pdf). The [QCAA Media Arts v9 page](https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/p-10/aciq/version-9/learning-areas/p-10-the-arts/media-arts) confirms **Queensland Prep** and C-standard reporting context. [ACARA's current Media Arts examples of knowledge and skills](https://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/support-resources/learning-area-resources/media_arts_examples_of_knowledge_and_skills) treats pre-production, production and post-production plus media concepts as suggested, non-prescriptive planning supports. Prep is Foundation, not the Years 1–2 band.

| Exact code and strand | Official content description | Early evidence in these ten starts | Boundary |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **AC9AMAFE01** · Exploring and responding | “explore how and why the arts are important for people and communities” | Day 9 asks who made an authorised real media work and why its makers share it. | Our invented paper tokens cannot establish a real maker/community's purposes. A school-selected, authorised work and first-party context are held. |
| **AC9AMAFD01** · Developing practices and skills | “use play, imagination, arts knowledge, processes and/or skills to discover possibilities and develop ideas” | Children compare order, frame, crop, caption and endings while keeping other features stable. | Paper choices evidence story planning; no camera, editing, audio or viewing skill is inferred. |
| **AC9AMAFC01** · Creating and making | “create arts works that communicate ideas” | Children arrange original two- and three-frame visual stories for a fictional purpose. | A directed sequence can be a small paper media work; note who made each decision, not an adult's template alone. |
| **AC9AMAFP01** · Presenting and performing | “share their arts works with audiences” | An original storyboard may be shown/explained to an actual willing educator or peer by choice. | Record actual recipient and medium; a puppet-only rehearsal/pass is not actual-audience sharing. Display or online publishing is not required. |

The Foundation achievement standard says children describe experiences, observations, ideas and/or feelings about arts works encountered at school, home and/or in the community, and use play/imagination/knowledge/processes/skills to create and share in different forms. No child needs to disclose a home media practice, a feeling, or an image/voice. [QCAA Prep non-performing arts techniques and conditions](https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/downloads/aciqv9/the-arts/assessment/ac9_arts_non_perform_tc_prep.pdf) offers image sequencing as an example for Media Arts; the two public checks here are not a prescribed task or C-standard judgment.

**Source discrepancy:** A QCAA [v8.4-to-v9 Prep Media Arts comparison PDF](https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/downloads/aciqv9/the-arts/curriculum/ac9_arts_media_prep_comp.pdf) prints `AC9ADAFE01`, `AC9ADFD01`, `AC9ADAFC01` and `AC9ADAFP01` in its v9 Media Arts column. These are not the Media Arts codes; `AC9ADFD01` also lacks the expected Dance prefix letter. The dedicated Prep Media Arts alignment gives **AC9AMA...**, used here. The comparison PDF is not our code authority.
