# Original A–F print aids, audio and set-up

Print A4 at actual size or use [exact text/tactile routes](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md). Prepare two broad numbered timing cells, one thick TICK card (filled mark) and one EMPTY/QUIET card. Make raised cues from large safe cards, not small loose pieces. Read every label aloud; no child needs to hear audio, read, touch or produce a sound. Check local volume, consent, accessibility and material safety before optional live sound. A neutral adult can place cards or gently make sound only as the child directs.

### A · Quiet or tick

### B · Tick count

### C · Timing strip

### F · Plan, made, share record

**Optional audio transcript and no-device equivalent:** `tick-one.wav` is one quiet synthetic tick at about 0.25 seconds, then quiet. `tick-two.wav` has quiet synthetic ticks at about 0.25 and 0.85 seconds, then quiet. Both are 1.5 seconds, 16 kHz mono PCM and contain no voice. On the paper route, show one or two broad TICK marks at the same planned positions and say “one tick, then quiet” or “tick, then tick.” Do not present a WAV as a child recording or as proven safe/pleasant for every learner.
