# Four original optional sound cues

These are machine-generated, original simple signals for the A–E scores, **not** songs, cultural music, recordings of people or real alerts. PCM mono, 22,050 samples/second, 16 bit. Each three-slot cue uses 0.45-second equal slots and stops at 1.35 seconds. Tone level is modest in the file; the adult still controls speaker volume and consent. No speaker near ears. Never use as a hearing screen. Print/card counting is a complete route to the stated score-design idea without playback.

| File | Exact event transcript | Quiet route |
| --- | --- | --- |
| [cue-a-three.wav](cue-a-three.wav) | At 0.00, 0.45 and 0.90 s, short 330 Hz tones of 0.20 s each. | Point to X at 1, 2, 3 at equal paced slots. |
| [cue-b-gap.wav](cue-b-gap.wav) | Short 330 Hz tones at 0.00 and 0.90 s; 0.45 s slot is silent. | Point to X, REST, X. |
| [cue-c-long-short.wav](cue-c-long-short.wav) | One 330 Hz tone from 0.00 to 0.80 s (covering slots 1–2), then one from 0.90 to 1.10 s. The first lasts four short-event durations. | Trace a broad LONG band over 1–2, then SHORT in 3. |
| [cue-d-low-high.wav](cue-d-low-high.wav) | 220 Hz short tone at 0.00–0.20 s; silent middle slot; 440 Hz short tone at 0.90–1.10 s. Frequency ratio is exactly 2. | Put LOW, REST, HIGH labels in slots; silent work cannot show perceived pitch. |

All cues use fades to avoid abrupt edges. The verifier checks sample format, duration, event windows and frequency by independent zero-crossing bounds. No child audio is captured.
