# Exact text and tactile routes for all eight A4 pages

Each row names every meaningful score label. Read left to right in numbered equal spaces. Use broad paper or raised-line cards fixed on a table; no small loose pieces are needed. A neutral adult may place a card only as the child directs. Printed outlines and colour carry no extra meaning.

## Three sound places

**File:** `print/sound-rest.svg` / `print/sound-rest.pdf`.
**Exact content:** Three equal numbered spaces, each with X. X means one short event; a response box asks for an intended fictional purpose.
**Verbatim printed text in layout order:** SUBJECTNEST · FOUNDATION MUSIC | Original graphic scores · quiet route always available | A · THREE SOUND PLACES | X means one short sound idea. Number every slot. | 1 | X | 2 | X | 3 | X | CHOOSE: WHAT MIGHT THREE MARKS SUGGEST? | My paper idea: | I chose three because: | Original resource · CC BY 4.0 · Source and access notes in pack.
**Tactile alternative:** Make numbered raised cells from folded paper or thick card. Read the exact content above without indicating any fresh-check answer; allow the child to direct one broad X, REST, LONG, SHORT, LOW or HIGH label per corresponding cell. For the two-phrase sheets, separate cells 3 and 4 with a raised divider. A two-slot LONG band should physically span both cells. For a blank/share sheet, a scribe records only the child’s direction. A child may instead point or use AAC.

## Where is the quiet?

**Limits:** Silent cards demonstrate a planned musical idea. They cannot show perceived pitch, timing production, timbre recognition or musical performance. Only an actual willing person receiving the child’s work provides limited audience-sharing evidence.
