# Held authentic music encounter

Use this only after the educator has selected an age-appropriate **real** musical work from a first-party maker, rights holder, authorised archive or licensed school source. This pack deliberately supplies no borrowed recording or guessed account of a community's practice. The original synthetic pulses are invented teaching examples, not cultural repertoire.

Before use, record the maker and work title, source link, date checked, permission or licence for school access, attribution, relevant context from the maker or authorised source, whether playback/distribution is permitted, and an accessible text route. For First Nations music, seek the relevant cultural authority and follow [Creative Australia's ICIP protocols](https://creative.gov.au/first-nations-arts/protocols-for-using-first-nations-cultural-and-intellectual-property-in-the-arts); a generic web page or this pack cannot grant that authority. Do not translate lyrics or assign cultural meanings by inference.

Ask children an open question such as “Who made it, and what did the maker or source tell us about when it is used?” Accept a description or question. Offer a pass, a school-selected non-personal example and no-device access where possible. Do not require disclosure of home songs, identities, beliefs or family practices. Record only the actual encounter and child response. Hold AC9AMUFE01 evidence if no authorised real work is encountered.
