# Foundation Music / Queensland Prep · Term 1 Weeks 3–4

Ten optional, **25-minute** educator-led starts for Days 11–20. Children extend the first fortnight's three-place sound/rest scores into **four evenly spaced pulse places**, an intended **gentle accent**, two speeds with the same number of pulses, and an original **pulse-and-answer** score. “Pulse” means a steady recurring beat; “tempo” means its speed; an “accent” marks one beat for emphasis. The four boxes are our graphic score, not formal music notation. A mark on paper shows a *plan*, not what someone heard or played.

Use the [ten scripts](LESSONS.md), [original practice score kit](MATERIALS.md), [30 switchable same-target routes](LEARNER-CARDS.md), [20 worked swaps](PRACTICE-SWAPS.md), [20 optional life-domain bridges](EXAMPLE-BANK.md), and [accessible prompts](PROMPTS.md). Six [original A4 practice aids](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md) and two [fresh public checks](STUDENT-CHECKS.md) have SVG/PDF and exact text/tactile routes. Keep the [separate educator key](teacher/KEY-AND-NEXT.md) away from first check responses. Three original PCM audio examples are **candidate** cues pending educator listening and volume review; every session has a complete no-device route.

The [current exact ACARA v9 / QCAA Prep Music crosswalk](CURRICULUM-CROSSWALK.md) uses AC9AMUFE01, AC9AMUFD01, AC9AMUFC01 and AC9AMUFP01. The people/help and roll/slide scenes are fictional optional prompts for musical decisions. They do not assess Humanities, Science, safety behaviour, movement skill, prosocial conduct, or a real person's response. Children may choose another impersonal idea. Local educators control safe materials, comfortable sound, consent, safeguarding and access. No singing, speaking, device, object striking, public solo, family disclosure or recording of children is required.

Silent marking can show pulse/accent/two-role **reasoning**. Auditory discrimination, sound control, coordinated performance and actual sharing require separate, educator-observed evidence if those claims are made. A puppet, imagined viewer or paper audience is rehearsal; only an actual willing person can be an audience for a real share. An authorised encounter with music from real makers and communities remains a [held local source slot](AUTHENTIC-SOURCE-SLOT.md). These ten sessions are **partial curriculum support**, not a full-year plan or formal judgment. No classroom impact, user listening test, independent accessibility certification or QCAA/ACARA endorsement is claimed.
