# Foundation Music / Queensland Prep · Term 1 Weeks 5–6

## Start here · a tiny opening or ending

Let the child choose a picture-show opening, a puppet ending, **music alone**, or their own job. Use a familiar locally reviewed quiet sound or four broad drawn beat cells. Cue four comfortable beats; if wanted the child makes one short sound at **1, 3 and 4**, waiting at **2**. One phrase is enough. Notice: **the four beats keep going through the rhythm's wait**. ## What is in this pack

Ten optional **25-minute** educator-led starts for Days 21–30: **How can four steady beats support our rhythm choices?** Children try a short quiet phrase if wanted, choose where a rhythm sounds/rests/holds, rehearse once by choice, and make a tiny opening, ending or music alone. Day labels organise a bank of starts; they do not prescribe daily Music. Use one page or four drawn cells, familiar locally reviewed sounds when chosen, or a complete no-sound planning route. No purchase or recording is needed.

Start with the [ready live-making route and A–F kit](MATERIALS.md). Ordinary Days 21–24 and 27–29 offer one short actual phrase **before** comparing marks. Offer child sound-making, child-directed adult sound, silent planning or a pass; record what happened. No child must sing, clap, move, speak, hear a device, sustain breath, use a specific body action/instrument/control, perform at a target rate or speed, take simultaneous roles, share publicly or disclose a family practice. Together is highly optional.

[Little Window Rhythm](SUPPLIED-WORK.md) supplies a named original **SubjectNest computer-created teaching model**: pulse at all four beats, rhythm at 1, 3, 4 and rest at 2. Its creator/type/date and author purpose are documented honestly. Actual encounter plus a child's own observed response offers a narrow AC9AMUFE01 opportunity; it establishes no human composer, community importance or broad people/community coverage. Fresh K/L data, key and check SVG/PDF remain unchanged. Unfinished at the time limit means **not yet observed**; offer another short sitting, with no completion-speed score. Six practice plus two check aids have original A4 SVG/searchable PDF and exact linear/tactile alternatives.

[Six original optional synthesized audio candidates](audio/ASSET-INDEX.md) include separate pulse-only, rhythm-only and together versions of the model. All are **NOT CLEARED** for playback: human listening, intended device, volume and stop checks remain held. Numerical signal checks do not establish comfort. Live sources require their own local review. Silent plans show composition; adult performance applies only when an adult actually sounded, and is not child performance. Record child maker, actual aural/pulse/rhythm observations, date, observer, help and a willing person/medium only when observed.

Optional story interests establish no cross-subject attainment, real signal or audience feeling. No ACARA/QCAA endorsement is claimed.
