# Foundation Music / Queensland Prep · Term 1 Weeks 9–10

Ten optional 25-minute starts for Days 41–50. Children make an original two-phrase **call and answer**: an exact echo, a one-mark change, or a contrasting response. Broad role cards show who is invited to take a turn; nobody has to sing, play, speak, stand, touch a sound source, or perform for the class. This extends [Weeks 7–8 phrase work](../weeks-07-08/README.md). “Call and answer” describes this invented classroom structure, not a claim about a particular cultural musical practice.

Two original synthetic PCM cues are **candidates only** until an educator has listened and approved level on the intended equipment; their [event transcripts](audio/ASSET-INDEX.md) and complete no-sound routes are included.

The [exact ACARA v9/QCAA Prep crosswalk](CURRICULUM-CROSSWALK.md) uses AC9AMUFE01, AC9AMUFD01, AC9AMUFC01 and AC9AMUFP01 with clear evidence limits. Paper shows an intended order, role, silence and source choice. It does **not** prove hearing, timing, sound production, timbre, audience receipt or response. A child-directed adult's playing is not the child's playing. Log any actual heard/made/shared event separately, only if it occurred. A real maker/context encounter remains in the [authentic source slot](AUTHENTIC-SOURCE-SLOT.md) pending permission and local selection.

Use broad fixed or raised cards, pointing, AAC, high contrast, a neutral reader/scribe, and an unpressured pass. Optional fictional settings never require family disclosure. The work is partial curriculum support, not a full term/year, formal assessment, efficacy study or accessibility certification. No QCAA/ACARA endorsement is claimed.
