# Two fresh public Music checks

These are paper/card tasks. A child needs no sound, printer, speech, speed or audience. An adult may neutrally read all cards or place a broad raised card only at the child's direction. Save the first complete response before feedback. Keep the teacher key out of the public check.

Find the **one changed mark**. Give its lane, place and old/new choice. Show at least one mark that stayed the same. What can the score not prove about an actual sound or listener?

Use [Z SVG](check/fresh-z.svg) or [Z PDF](check/fresh-z.pdf). The first take is **H A V | L A V | L B S | H B S**. The printed second take starts as an **identical copy**. Change **exactly one mark** in that second take: on paper, circle the old mark and write its replacement beside it; with cards, replace that one card. You may choose one place and choose pitch, source *or* planned level. Show the whole revised score, mark your one edit, and explain one musical idea for it. Check that the other eleven marks match. What can the paper not prove about a real listener? There are many valid answers.
