# Materials and seven practical invitations

Use available broad paper/pencil, exact spoken/full-word description or a neutral adult reader. Optional circle sound/dash wait/question undecided cards, four-place raised rows and GO/AGAIN/FINISH/STOP tags may be adult-prepared from locally reviewed available safe broad materials. No purchase, screen, print, instrument, small loose pieces, blade handling, required child touch/body action or family possessions. IDEA/ENDING are **successive four-beat sections**, not concurrent parts or rows assigned to different learners; colour is redundant. Use [exact alternatives](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md).

## Immediately usable quiet live or silent route

Teacher reviews exact familiar short quiet source/material/technique/space/access/willing makers locally and previews it. A brief comfortable familiar spoken “mm” is an option **only** if locally suitable, already familiar and chosen; no strain, pitch matching or required voice. Child may choose another reviewed familiar classroom source, direct a willing adult maker/cue operator, read/direct broad silent cards or pass. No compulsory clap, tap, object striking, headphones or new physical technique. One source stays fixed through a take; approved instruments are optional after exact technique review.

1. Child chooses an own four-beat idea/different ending and **one or two** idea rounds. Agree GO start/AGAIN repeat/FINISH next-ending/STOP after-ending, a comfortable pointer and how cues are perceived. No endless loop or surprise demand.
2. Rehearse the IDEA once, then ENDING once with source or silent reader; reset before complete piece. Child can direct an adult while never making sound.
3. GO starts on the agreed next beat. Show/say/read or direct AGAIN/FINISH **by idea beat3** for the following section, after local access review; preview/earlier cues can be used if needed and support recorded. Do not score response speed or force simultaneous cueing/playing.
4. One idea path: GO IDEA FINISH ENDING STOP. Two idea path: GO IDEA AGAIN IDEA FINISH ENDING STOP. Local numbers1–4 restart each section. FINISH is an agreed transition cue; STOP follows ending beat4, not an extra sound.
5. Try a short complete form once; “Keep it, or try once more?” Child chooses. Log intended route, actual cue operator/maker/support/accessible received cue/order/timing if observed and actual willing recipient/receipt only if shared. Adult-on-direction action is adult action/performance. Silent cue rehearsal meets form planning, not hearing or received live music.

Candidate files are fixed computer realizations, not captured cues or actual performer responses. Separate [whole-file human/device/local-volume clearance](audio/ASSET-INDEX.md) before playback; live-source review does not clear files, file clearance does not approve live making.

### A · Meet a supplied actual model

Present [Again, Then Finish](print/author-model.pdf), [source card](print/work-source.pdf)/exact access and honest creator-purpose. Idea1,3,4; ending1,2; two idea rounds then ending. Ask what comes again and what children could try. Actual observed response supports narrow author-model exploration, not community/performance/effect claims.

### B · Make own idea and ending

Practice idea1,3; ending2,4. Four choices are read in order, then ending, never together. Child chooses a different own ending, title/use or not stated and optional reviewed short making or silent reader. Same/different sound count is not the goal; different section decisions are.

### C · One idea—or again?

Use [choice routes](print/one-or-two.pdf). Hold own idea/ending; choose one or two idea rounds followed by ending. Practice idea1,4/ending2; cue one version then another. Direction or exact description meets composition planning; actually received cues must be observed separately.

### D · An invented puppet entrance

Use imaginary puppet/picture or music alone; no toy/handling required. Practice idea2,3; ending1,4. Child chooses short form, cues/willing makers and tries once/read silently. A proposed entrance use is not an observed audience effect; private enjoyment/pass accepted.

### E · Rehearse, then try

[Rehearsal page](print/rehearse.pdf) keeps plan/actual fields separate. Practice idea1,3,4; ending2,4; choose one/two idea rounds. Rehearse sections and cue access, then one short complete piece with reviewed source or silent reader. Unexpected order logged honestly, not overwritten by intended plan.

### F · A reason and own use

Revisit actual model/source, then let child choose another use: broad dot-book opening, imaginary stage or music alone. Practice idea1,4; ending1,3. If wider real work is used, follow [authority gate](AUTHENTIC-SOURCE-SLOT.md); unavailable wider inquiry stays held. No prescribed feeling or cultural claim.

### G · New ending, same idea

Save idea1,4, first ending2,4; revise ending to1,3 while idea and one-idea form hold. Only ending local2,4→wait/1,3→sound changes. Child makes another own revision and keeps favourite; counts may vary in open making. Fresh checks use different complete recipes after practice and before feedback.
