# Twenty worked context swaps · two per day

Use these **after** the day's main try or when a safe actual source is unavailable. Each short case is authored fiction unless an adult replaces it with a dated, preflighted local source and records the genuine result. The “worked answer” models reasoning, not a fact about classroom objects. No fixed learner-style assignment, forced contact or family disclosure.

## Day 11

1. **Parcel desk:** “Will this approved broad parcel prop slide after one gentle release on our flat mat?” **Worked:** checkable only after a safe source/action is specified; do not answer before a try.
2. **Story map:** “I like the blue delivery arrow best.” **Worked:** a preference, not a movement question. Recast: “What would this arrow mean if we first observed a real prop move?”

## Day 12

1. **Book trolley model:** A drawing shows a trolley icon but no moving trolley. **Worked:** mark START/CATCH and ask for a safe adult-led actual source; the drawing alone is NOT TESTED.
2. **Craft table:** A large light sponge prop is approved; a hard bead is also suggested. **Worked:** choose only the approved broad prop and adult catch, subject to site preflight; refuse the bead method.

## Day 13

1. **Theatre prop:** A fictional script says “soft square prop stayed beside START.” **Worked:** this is a story sentence, not our observed result; mark MODEL until an actual dated try occurs.
2. **Quiet table:** Adult reports an approved broad object stopped at the centre of the lane while child did not see it. **Worked:** record ADULT REPORT and exact source/date/action; never call it the child's direct sight.

## Day 14

1. **Train map:** An invented line from station A to B has one arrow. **Worked:** the arrow shows a drawn direction; it supplies no real train movement, speed or time.
2. **Game board:** A dated actual log says an approved prop did not move on a gentle release. **Worked:** a “did not move in this try” label is more accurate than drawing a travelling arrow.

## Day 15

1. **Garden path drawing:** Two printed arrows point away from START. **Worked:** the marks show two depicted directions, not two actual objects or observed paths.
2. **Music studio prop:** Ask “Would this approved broad cushion stop near START on the flat mat?” **Worked:** a prediction is allowed; result stays NOT TESTED until a safe local release.

## Day 16

1. **Toy workshop:** Fictional A is a soft disk, B a soft cube, but A is also smaller. **Worked:** invented endpoints cannot isolate shape; size differs too.
2. **Parcel chute idea:** Two actual approved props might be same verified material and size but different shape. **Worked:** plan same start/surface/release, record result only after safe tries, then say “in these tries”.

## Day 17

1. **Art rollers:** Drawn large/small circles both have no material label. **Worked:** the drawing can compare shown sizes, not verify real material or movement.
2. **Puppet stage:** Two verified same-material broad cylinders differ in size, but one gets pushed harder. **Worked:** the release changed as well; observed stop difference cannot be credited to size alone.

## Day 18

1. **Costume box:** One shiny flat prop and one dull round prop stop differently in a fictional log. **Worked:** neither verified material nor shape is controlled, so cause is unknown.
2. **Repair bench:** Two safe broad discs are same size/shape with verified different materials; adult can release each gently on one mat. **Worked:** this is a reasonable plan, not a result; record actual outcomes and any weight/finish difference if a real try occurs.

## Day 19

1. **Library display:** A child only has Model N. **Worked report:** “The invented records have different stop labels. I cannot say what our objects did or which factor caused it.”
2. **Sports equipment:** A real dated safe trial log has one object/result but no second object. **Worked report:** tell what that object did *in that try*; do not present a two-object comparison.

## Day 20

1. **Post room:** Two imaginary envelopes have different arrows but no release details. **Worked:** compare drawings only; no local movement or material influence established.
2. **Making table:** A teacher proposes a new broad pair but has not checked materials. **Worked:** label material UNKNOWN, seek verification and safety approval before a material comparison; keep results blank.
