# Thirty same-target learner routes · Days 41–50 Routes are flexible access choices, not fixed learning-style labels. Each day's A/B/C route answers the **same source and evidence question** by pointing, speech, sign, AAC, drawing, broad secured tactile cards, adult scribe or private explanation. Neutral adult description remains **ADULT REPORT**, a photo remains PHOTO, and a model is never relabelled actual observation. If no real source exists, model-only reasoning prepares the target while the actual-source evidence gap stays open. Follow [the source protocol](MATERIALS.md). Days 45/50 are **after-check** practice. ## Day 41 · Tell actual from fictional - **A · two-column sort:** Put an approved dated real log under ACTUAL and Notebook N under FICTIONAL; cite one exact source fact and one unknown. - **B · private/AAC:** Tell teacher what the actual log says or, if absent, what the author of N wrote; do not say the class observed N's middle stop. - **C · large source cards:** Direct an adult to read DIRECT / ADULT REPORT / PHOTO / MODEL labels and place them beside sources; explain why a model result is not local data. ## Day 42 · Make a small evidence display - **A · six-box page:** Copy source/date, question, pre-action prediction, action, exact result/unknown from an actual log; leave missing fields NOT RECORDED. - **B · speak/scribe:** Dictate those same six fields privately, stating “The story says…” for Notebook N if using fiction instead of an actual record. - **C · tactile sequence:** Arrange broad fixed QUESTION / PREDICTION / ACTION / RESULT / UNKNOWN cards and direct an adult to add source/date without filling an absent result. ## Day 43 · Compare only suitable records - **A · A/B table:** Put two actual dated logs side by side, mark relevant same/different conditions and give a bounded result comparison or INCOMPARABLE. - **B · oral/AAC:** Tell teacher why two source types, actions or dates may not answer one question; cite each record instead of guessing. - **C · large strips:** Direct an adult to read A and B in order and place SAME / DIFFERENT / NOT ENOUGH EVIDENCE cards from their actual conditions. ## Day 44 · Explain and revise honestly - **A · annotated claim:** Underline the source and circle an overstrong word in an actual explanation, then revise one phrase while retaining unknowns. - **B · private listener:** Explain one display to a consenting teacher/listener, ask what was unclear and note only their actual reply; no public speaking required. - **C · five tactile prompts:** Touch SOURCE / QUESTION / RESULT / LIMIT / NEXT cards while directing an adult scribe; if no feedback occurs, write NO ACTUAL LISTENER RESPONSE. ## Day 45 · After the fresh check only - **A · new model:** Draw a fresh invented line diagram, label MODEL and write one safe real-source question without inventing an answer. - **B · oral:** Tell why a source date matters when explaining an actual object and why a paper mark has only a model-use date. - **C · tactile:** Arrange broad ACTUAL / PHOTO / REPORT / MODEL labels for four teacher-read source descriptions, then leave missing observation blank. ## Day 46 · Prediction against actual result - **A · two boxes:** Copy the genuinely earlier prediction and later actual result from one dated record, mark SAME / DIFFERENT / CANNOT COMPARE with reason. - **B · tell/AAC:** Explain a different prediction without calling it a failure; if no prior prediction exists say NOT RECORDED. - **C · fixed cards:** Direct adult to read prediction timestamp/order and actual result, then place broad cards for comparison or unavailable evidence. ## Day 47 · Plan one next check - **A · next-question mat:** Write one unknown from an actual dated source and a safe approved source/method that could address it; result stays NOT TESTED. - **B · private plan:** Tell teacher what could be kept the same and what might change in a future local try; distinguish prediction from a result. - **C · tactile sequence:** Arrange broad SOURCE / UNKNOWN / SAFE QUESTION / METHOD / PREDICTION cards with adult preflight required. ## Day 48 · Transfer across three domains - **A · model marks:** Describe exact M1/M2/M3 drawn marks and choose a separate real source needed for plant/animal, movement and material claims. - **B · oral/AAC:** Ask one safe question per domain while saying “This drawing alone cannot tell…”; link a genuine earlier dated log only if available. - **C · broad cards:** Follow secured raised M drawings while adult reads their MODEL labels, then match REAL VIEW / REAL MOTION TRY / REAL MATERIAL TRY source cards without claiming they occurred. ## Day 49 · Private handover - **A · portfolio page:** Choose one or two actual source-linked work samples and fill source/date, what you did, support, unknown and next question. - **B · conference:** Explain privately to teacher an actual sample or say NEW EVIDENCE / MODEL ONLY if no earlier record exists; choose your next curiosity. - **C · five prompts:** Direct adult to read/scribe WORK / SOURCE / MY IDEA / UNKNOWN / NEXT while keeping personal record in school custody. ## Day 50 · After the fresh check only - **A · future source plan:** Make a blank question/prediction/result page for a different teacher-approved safe source; do not fill result before action. - **B · explain:** Give one example of “the drawing shows” and a separate example of what an actual dated record could support. - **C · tactile:** Arrange SOURCE / BEFORE IDEA / ACTUAL RESULT / STILL UNKNOWN cards; direct adult to leave absent evidence unfilled.
