# Foundation / Prep Science · Term 2, Weeks 11–12 · Days 51–60

**Teacher draft, 29 September 2026.** The question is: **what changes when a broad flat object moves through a marked tabletop passage?** Week 11 keeps one object and one passage while changing its orientation. Week 12 compares object width/shape and passage width. This extends the open-lane movement of [Science Weeks 3–4](../../term-1/weeks-03-04/README.md). It complements the integrated [Week 11 tool task](../../../term-2/week-11-ten-ways-to-see.md) and [Week 12 sharing task](../../../term-2/week-12-sharing-tools-and-space.md); number arrangements and social fairness are separate learning goals, not Science evidence.

**Before each real try:** an adult approves a flat, accessible, stable tabletop, two firmly fixed broad boundary strips, and a large smooth-edged card. Check the actual source, date, passage width, object dimensions/material, start/orientation, who moves it and whether touch is welcome. Do not force, flick or launch anything. If this is not available, mark **REAL OBSERVATION NOT AVAILABLE** and use the fictional model only to practise reasoning about a diagram. A paper drawing cannot establish that an object moved. No child photo, voice, personal story, upload or household purchase is needed.
