# Learner cards · thirty flexible routes, same Science question

Read [complete models and optional real-source protocol](MATERIALS.md). A/B/C change access or expression, not the day's Science target. Offer them flexibly without fixed “learning style” labels. No child has to hear, make sound, touch, perform or disclose sensory preferences publicly. An adult action needs warning/approval; a neutral description is **ADULT REPORT**, not the child's direct sense. A raised paper model remains MODEL. Actual evidence needs local date/material/support/action/access/result; paper/no-action route writes **REAL OBSERVATION NOT AVAILABLE**. Day 75/80 practice cards are released only after the teacher-held first independent response.

## Day 71 · Arrow versus result
- **A · look/mark:** Find R's card, arrow and TAP?; mark one paper fact, one unknown and a safe question.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear all R sentences; dictate what the author drew and why no response was observed.
- **C · touch/choose:** Explore broad fixed CARD/ARROW/TAP? paper marks or direct adult; select MODEL and NO SOUND SUPPLIED.

## Day 72 · Before prediction
- **A · look/mark:** On a blank mat mark verified real object/support or R MODEL, then predict one possible response before any action.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear exact real material/support or R; say a bounded prediction and one condition to check.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use fixed SOURCE, SUPPORT, PRIOR PREDICTION, NOT TESTED cards; AAC/adult scribe records same question.

## Day 73 · What was actually noticed?
- **A · look/mark:** After an approved action, choose exact faint/felt/not discernible and direct/ADULT REPORT label; otherwise NOT TESTED.
- **B · hear/say:** Listen voluntarily or hear neutral attributed adult report; dictate source/date/action/result or paper-only limit.
- **C · touch/choose:** If welcome, safely feel broad surface during adult action, or choose fixed ADULT REPORT/MODEL cards with AAC; preserve source label.

## Day 74 · Conditions for a fairer comparison
- **A · look/mark:** Underline missing material/support/date in fictional S; choose two conditions to keep similar next time.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear S; explain why its “quiet” word cannot rank all materials and pose a safer question.
- **C · touch/choose:** Select broad MATERIAL, SUPPORT, ACTION and OBSERVER labels to complete a plan; no tap required.

## Day 75 · Practice after held response
- **A · look/mark:** Draw a new fictional broad pad and one arrow; label response UNKNOWN, not a heard result.
- **B · hear/say:** Tell a paper-only tap plan and say what an approved real source would need.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use secured broad pad/arrow model; direct adult to label MODEL / NOT TESTED.

## Day 76 · Parts of a layered object
- **A · look/mark:** Compare L's A card outline and B card+stripe; say which parts are drawn and actual material still UNKNOWN.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear L; explain how a real verified composite could be named without claiming its response.
- **C · touch/choose:** Adult places broad fixed layer on card model at child's direction; child chooses TWO DRAWN PARTS and NOT TESTED.

## Day 77 · Card alone versus layered card
- **A · look/mark:** Before safe optional A/B action predict, then record each exact actual result or NOT TESTED with source/date.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear neutral attributed adult report if chosen; dictate same card/support, added layer and cautious response comparison.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use broad fixed A/B composition strips; optional consenting tactile route or AAC/adult report, with no forced touch/hearing.

## Day 78 · What can two records support?
- **A · look/mark:** Place actual A/B records side by side; mark same/different/unclear or INCOMPARABLE with reason.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear exact records; compare earlier prediction with later actual result only if both exist in order.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use fixed SOURCE A/B, SAME SUPPORT, OTHER CONDITIONS, UNKNOWN cards; direct adult to state bounded claim.

## Day 79 · Explain and limit
- **A · look/mark:** Show actual dated record or L; write/draw “this source shows … / cannot show …” for teacher.
- **B · hear/say:** Share exact verified parts/response or L marks, plus one unknown, to consenting chosen listener.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use fixed SOURCE / RESPONSE OR DRAWING / UNKNOWN cards with sign/AAC/adult voice for same idea.

## Day 80 · Practice after held response
- **A · look/mark:** Make a different invented two-layer diagram and label every response NOT TESTED.
- **B · hear/say:** Describe one optional safe A/B comparison, source/date and before prediction without inventing outcome.
- **C · touch/choose:** Arrange broad fixed card/layer/prediction/model cards to explain parts, unknown and next check.
