# Learner cards · thirty flexible routes to the same Science targets

Read [complete original sources and safety rules](MATERIALS.md). A/B/C are interchangeable access and expression routes, not fixed learning styles or ability groups. Each route asks the **same day's Science question** and keeps the same source label. Use child-controlled speech, sign, AAC, pointing, drawing, adult scribing, quiet attributed ADULT REPORT or broad secured tactile labels. No touch, hearing, sight of an apparatus or public share is compulsory. Read all paper positions as START → MIDDLE → STOP. A paper route is **FICTIONAL MODEL** and never supplies a genuine result. Days 95 and 100 here are **practice only after** the first teacher-held response.

## Day 91 · Ask before knowing
- **A · look/mark:** Choose a question about the same carton's broad/narrow face; write or mark a prediction before reading M's results.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear the setup without results; dictate one question and possible outcome, with the adult writing prior order.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use secured broad QUESTION / BROAD / NARROW / PRIOR PREDICTION labels; choose the same question by AAC or sign.

## Day 92 · One planned change
- **A · look/mark:** Circle face placement as the change and mark tray, start and no-push release as steady.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear the complete setup read aloud; say what changing the start line would spoil.
- **C · touch/choose:** Arrange fixed large SAME / CHANGED labels beside a raised three-position paper strip; direct adult to scribe one correction.

## Day 93 · Keep an interruption
- **A · look/mark:** On a MODEL run strip, mark tipped-at-rim as INTERRUPTED and leave it visible beside valid entries.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear the fifth M entry exactly and explain why it is not a valid stop at MIDDLE or STOP.
- **C · touch/choose:** Choose secured VALID / INTERRUPTED / UNKNOWN cards; ask for a repeat only if adult says safe.

## Day 94 · Four raw attempts
- **A · look/mark:** Record ACTUAL dated positions if truly seen or M MODEL positions if read; compare only valid entries.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear attributed actual report or M read in order; dictate face and stop for all entries, including interruption.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use fixed broad face/position cards or AAC to make the same raw record; adult keeps source and access labels.

## Day 95 · Practice after first check
- **A · look/mark:** Draw a new made-up test map with one planned change and a second accidental change; mark what to reset.
- **B · hear/say:** Tell a fictional test story where start changes; explain why the comparison is uncertain.
- **C · touch/choose:** Move secured SAME / CHANGED paper labels at adult direction; select a safe correction without claiming real data.

## Day 96 · Choose a source
- **A · look/mark:** Select a consented dated school Science sample or M; mark DIRECT / PHOTO / REPORT / MODEL and what it shows.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear provenance and N strips; state which has raw evidence and which is just an unsupported claim.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use two large fixed SOURCE A/B strips; AAC or sign one source type and one missing fact.

## Day 97 · Point from claim to mark
- **A · look/mark:** Link a bounded actual or M claim to exact raw entries; keep interrupted entries out of valid-stop count.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear positions read in order and dictate “in these tries …” with a limit.
- **C · touch/choose:** Use broad secured START/MIDDLE/STOP, VALID/INTERRUPTED and UNKNOWN labels; direct adult to voice exact claim.

## Day 98 · Attribute the access
- **A · look/mark:** Label direct actual observation, adult's actual report or M paper text accurately for one sample.
- **B · hear/say:** Hear a neutral description and identify whose observation it reports, if anyone, and which source it names.
- **C · touch/choose:** Choose fixed DIRECT / ADULT REPORT / FICTIONAL MODEL labels; AAC a correctly attributed sentence.

## Day 99 · Private Science explanation
- **A · look/mark:** Use five panels to show source, question, raw marks, limited claim and next safe check.
- **B · hear/say:** Tell a chosen private listener the same sequence; keep actual feedback separate from rehearsal text.
- **C · touch/choose:** Sequence broad secured panels and direct adult to voice exact selected words; no performance/touch demand.

## Day 100 · Practice after first check
- **A · look/mark:** Invent a new paper-only run sheet and mark a claim the sheet does and does not support.
- **B · hear/say:** Explain what a real dated trial would need before a result could be told as classroom evidence.
- **C · touch/choose:** Sequence SOURCE / PRIOR PREDICTION / RAW MARK / LIMIT cards, then choose MODEL or ACTUAL accurately.
