# Two fresh teacher-held paper checks · Days 125 and 130

Keep these complete original cases unseen in instruction, learner cards, worked swaps and print aids until the **first independent response**. They are public for educator review but teacher-held in use. Read literally or offer the exact large-print, AAC, braille or broad secured tactile information below. Record the child's first words, signs, selected symbols or directed response, the source/access mode and any neutral reread **before** feedback. A prompt that identifies the missing detail is no longer an independent response. These are **FICTIONAL PAPER CASES**, not actual movement. If no separately approved dated genuine classroom event occurred, write **REAL OBSERVATION NOT AVAILABLE**. Paper reasoning cannot by itself establish actual AC9SFI02 investigation, a real object's movement, a material cause or an achievement standard.

## Day 125 · fresh Case AB

**Complete held source:** “**FICTIONAL PAPER CASE AB — ORANGE RECTANGLE 46.** Three pictures of one invented large orange rectangle on an invented broad table are placed in time order. Picture 1 says **FIRST** and puts the rectangle at the **LOW LEFT**. Picture 2 says **SECOND** and puts it at the **HIGH CENTRE**. Picture 3 says **THIRD** and puts it at the **LOW RIGHT**. There is no line joining the pictures, continuous view, real table, witness, date or verified material. A printed caption says, ‘It zigzagged, stopped twice, and its cardboard made it travel that way.’” All positions are drawn; the caption's route, pauses and material cause are unverified.

**Exact nonvisual/tactile equivalent:** read the whole quoted case. Use three large fixed outlined frames in time order, with one broad rectangle at LOW LEFT, one at HIGH CENTRE, one at LOW RIGHT. Read those position labels and the caption. Keep the gaps unjoined. A tactile paper frame is still MODEL.

**First independent prompts:** (1) “Which positions and order are actually in the pictures?” (2) “Can these pictures tell us the full route, whether it stopped, or what material caused a route? Why?” (3) “What safe, locally approved, dated observation would help answer one smaller movement question?” Accept a child-selected narrower question such as “Did it pause?”; no real result is promised.

## Day 130 · fresh Case AC

**Complete held source:** “**FICTIONAL PAPER CASE AC — GREEN SQUARE 73.** In an invented room, an imaginary adult writes: ‘At **START**, the large green square was at the left. I closed a wide paper screen across the middle. When I opened it, the square was at **FINISH** on the right. I did not see the middle interval.’ A separate printed label says, ‘It definitely **ROLLED THROUGH THE CENTRE** because its material is soft.’ The page supplies no actual classroom event, local date, verified material, continuous view, prior prediction or real witness.” The imaginary adult reports two positions and an unseen interval. The printed label adds a route and cause unsupported by the account.

**Exact nonvisual/tactile equivalent:** read the whole quoted case. Fix broad START and FINISH position cards at left and right, with a wide secured SCREEN / MIDDLE NOT SEEN card between. Read the separate rolled/material label after the imaginary adult's account, keeping the different source lines distinct. No object needs to move.

**First independent prompts:** (1) “What two positions are in the imaginary adult's account, and what was hidden?” (2) “Does this paper source show rolling through the centre or a soft-material cause? Was a prediction recorded before it?” (3) “What could you honestly tell a private listener, and what approved actual source, local date and clear view would be needed for a real movement claim?”
