# Three short, original read-aloud tracks · text master

These are **scripts and exact transcripts**, ready for a teacher to read or for later human-reviewed narration. No recorded audio or accent review is claimed. Keep each source label spoken. Pause, replay, lower volume or switch to print/AAC/tactile by child choice. The same full facts are in [MATERIALS.md](MATERIALS.md); do not use a shortened track as the sole source for a held check. Never describe a fictional route as a classroom result.

## Track 1 · The three pictures (about 35 seconds)

“This is a **fictional model**. I can see a large blue square in three pictures. In picture one it is at START on the left. In picture two it is at MIDDLE in the centre. In picture three it is at FINISH on the right. The pictures do not show the movement between them. Did it pause? Did it bend around a corner? We don't know from these pictures. Tell me one thing we can see, and one thing we cannot see.”

**Pause for response.** Do not provide a model answer before the child chooses a route. Exact visual partner: [three stills](three-stills.svg). Text/tactile order: START left, MIDDLE centre, FINISH right; no joining line.

## Track 2 · Two possible paths (about 35 seconds)

“This is another **fictional model**. There are two drawn lines between the same three squares. The solid line stays level from START through MIDDLE to FINISH. The dashed line bends up, returns to MIDDLE, bends up again and returns to FINISH. Both drawings fit the three still pictures. Neither line is a real movement we watched. Which drawn line would you like me to describe again? What would we need to know which route a real pad took?”

**Pause for response.** Exact visual partner: [two possible routes](two-possible-routes.svg). Solid/dashed is said aloud so colour is not the only distinction. A child can direct a reread or choose quiet.

## Track 3 · A careful listener (about 30 seconds)

“I can tell someone what my source shows. If my source is the three **fictional pictures**, I can say: ‘The square is at START, MIDDLE and FINISH in that order.’ I cannot say which path it took between those pictures. If a real approved class look happened, our teacher writes the date and exactly what was seen. If it did not happen, we say **real observation not available**. What is one safe question we could ask next?”

**Pause for response.** Exact visual partner: [claim and listener mat](claim-listener.svg). The spoken example is not an actual listener response, classroom observation or child assessment result.
