# Foundation / Prep Science · Term 3 Weeks 27–28

**Teacher draft · ten distinct 25-minute sessions, Days 131–140.** Week 27 asks how a real object may have more than one visible material and why a shared surface feature does not prove the same material. Week 28 asks what we can learn from a direct safe inspection and what requires an attributed, verified maker/source answer. The focus follows the integrated [Week 27 objects alike/different](../../../term-3/week-27-objects-alike-and-different.md) and [Week 28 asking someone](../../../term-3/week-28-what-we-learn-by-asking.md) while keeping Science evidence distinct from maths mass/length, HASS interview and English report claims. It advances past [Weeks 25–26's movement-source work](../weeks-25-26/README.md) and does not repeat the earlier water investigation.

**Quick start for a teacher:** print the split-sign and three-swatch pages. Read K first and ask what is drawn. Read L's fictional maker note separately to reveal its A/B/C labels and the ribbed paper-based counterexample. For genuine Science inspection, prepare only locally approved, broad clean verified materials with no loose fibres or forced touch; record source/provenance, local date, raw visible feature, direct access versus attributed **ADULT REPORT**, hidden joins and any interruption. If safe known materials are unavailable, write **REAL OBSERVATION NOT AVAILABLE** and use the complete FICTIONAL MODEL reasoning route. A paper stripe does not identify a real material.
