# Thirty flexible same-goal learner routes

Offer a route as a choice today; change it tomorrow if useful. Each route keeps that day's [goal](LESSONS.md), exact source label and first-response evidence. Voice, sign, AAC, pointing, gaze, drawing and child-directed adult scribing are equally valid when they communicate the target. A large-print or tactile **paper model** remains paper. For actual views, keep the [adult safety/source gate](MATERIALS.md). “Not visible” is a valid observation limit, never a deficit.

## Day 141

- **Look and point:** Point at N1's rounded leaf outline and N3's pointed ear outline; choose FICTIONAL MODEL for both.
- **Listen and arrange:** Hear the exact N1/N3 description, place two broad secured feature labels beside their drawings and say that no actual organism was viewed.
- **Tell or scribe:** Dictate “In this drawing I notice…; the paper cannot show…” for one mark on each figure.

## Day 142

- **Move with an adult:** Direct the adult to put N3 and N4 in the two named outline bins; keep the rule visible.
- **Mark a grid:** Draw one point symbol for N2/N3 and one curve symbol for N1/N4, then read all four labels.
- **Explain aloud:** Say or sign the one rule first, name each picture under it and leave an unclear mark waiting.

## Day 143

- **Safe view:** If four approved distinct sources exist, point to an exact visible feature in each without touching and direct the adult to write source/date.
- **Photo and provenance:** For an approved actual-animal photo, use zoom or an exact adult description, label PHOTO or ADULT REPORT honestly and record only visible features.
- **Model fallback:** If sources are unavailable, work through N1–N4 as FICTIONAL MODEL and say REAL OBSERVATION NOT AVAILABLE.

## Day 144

- **Find the breaker:** Point to N2's pointed leaf mark and its invented PLANT DRAWING label as the counterexample to “every pointed drawing is an animal.”
- **Three-box board:** Dictate first rule, N2 plus source, then a smaller statement that pointiness alone cannot settle the author's label.
- **Act the reasoning:** Hold up a fixed point card for N2/N3 and two different author-label cards; explain why shape and label differ without claiming real biology.

## Day 145

- **Independent speech or sign:** Hear the unrehearsed case exactly and give first response without a leading category cue.
- **Independent selection:** Choose large fixed feature/category/source labels, then direct an adult to record why a label is a counterexample.
- **Independent AAC/drawing:** Show the rule, conflicting case and real-evidence limit in chosen symbols; adult records exact first selection and any neutral reread.

## Day 146

- **Two mats:** Make a pointed/rounded model sort, then a stem-and-leaf/leg-mark sort; name both rules before comparing.
- **Voice compare:** Say which N figure changes group when the question changes and which drawn marks stayed fixed.
- **Tactile map:** Explore secured broad raised outlines, direct two adult sorts with spoken source labels and explain that paper marks did not change.

## Day 147

- **Caption repair:** Replace “no roots” with “roots not visible in this drawing” for N1's cut-off bottom.
- **Frame gesture:** Cover a broad fixed lower rectangle without hiding small objects; say what the view leaves unknown and request a safer fuller view.
- **Question maker:** Dictate a neutral next-source question about a real plant without pulling, digging or claiming a hidden root.

## Day 148

- **Genuine view route:** Give a prediction before the approved new view, then record later exact visible feature, timing and source.
- **Opt-out route:** Choose NO PREDICTION or decline the view; record CANNOT COMPARE while still naming a source limitation.
- **Model rehearsal:** Predict one N drawing mark before its paper reveal, compare *model words* later and explicitly say this is not an actual investigation.

## Day 149

- **Private talk:** Tell a willing adult the source, one feature rule, N2 counterexample and one remaining unknown.
- **Visual strip:** Direct an adult to fill six broad boxes with the same bounded claim; record actual listener reply or NONE.
- **AAC/sign share:** Choose source and counterexample symbols, communicate a revised sentence and decide whether any reply should be retained.

## Day 150

- **Independent talk:** Respond to the new case with a rule, counterexample, unclear view and safe real-source next step.
- **Independent broad cards:** Direct placement of the unrehearsed figures into feature-seen/not-visible/unclear fields, then indicate the author-label conflict.
- **Independent AAC/scribe:** Compose a source-labelled bounded claim with no coached feature answer; retain first choice and access supports.
