# Twenty worked interest swaps · optional, never replacement evidence

These short contexts let a teacher reconnect the **same daily Science target** to a child's interest. All named scenes below are invented drawings unless a separately approved real source is documented. A model report is not a real organism observation, and a worked report is not the child's independent answer. Read source status aloud every time. Choose zero, one or both after the core lesson.

## Day 141

1. **Garden poster.** A paper poster shows a leaf with a round end and an invented bird puppet with a pointed beak mark. **Worked report:** “I see different outside marks on two drawings; I did not observe an actual plant or bird.”
2. **Toy theatre.** A drawing shows a stalk with two oval marks and a cardboard creature mask with two triangle marks. **Worked report:** “These are drawn external marks; the mask does not verify an animal feature.”

## Day 142

1. **Space story.** Four imaginary planet-garden characters have either pointed or curved outer marks. **Worked report:** “Under the stated point/curve picture rule, I sort by visible ends, not by the story's character names.”
2. **Sports badge.** Four paper team badges have point or curve outlines. **Worked report:** “First name the outline rule, then place each badge; a badge is not a living source.”

## Day 143

1. **School path.** Two approved distinct plants are visible from a path and two separate rights-cleared animal photos are prepared. **Worked report:** “P1/P2 are dated local views; A1/A2 are attributed photos. I record only the feature visible in each.”
2. **Rainy-day room.** Outdoor approval is withdrawn; teacher has only N paper drawings. **Worked report:** “REAL OBSERVATION NOT AVAILABLE. I can still practise model feature words without filling an actual log.”

## Day 144

1. **Costume parade.** A fictional plant costume and an animal puppet both have triangular outer marks. **Worked report:** “A triangle alone cannot decide the author's two costume labels; the plant costume is a counterexample.”
2. **Sticker book.** A leaf sticker and an ear sticker both end in a point on an invented page. **Worked report:** “Pointed describes this drawn outline; it does not make both pictured parts ears.”

## Day 145

1. **After the first check, garden shop.** A toy catalogue's broad rule fails when a fictional plant drawing shares a curved edge with its animal puppet. **Worked report:** “Name the contrary labelled drawing and narrow the paper-only rule.”
2. **After the first check, comic.** A panel makes a broad claim from one mark, while another panel has the same mark under a different author label. **Worked report:** “The second panel blocks the broad claim; neither panel proves a real organism fact.”

## Day 146

1. **Train carriages.** Four paper passengers can be grouped by hat outline or by ticket icon. **Worked report:** “The passengers did not change; two different stated visible rules made two sorts.”
2. **Garden notebook.** N2 is with N3 for pointed marks but with N1 for stem-and-leaf marks. **Worked report:** “I name the rule before each pair, so both model groupings are understandable.”

## Day 147

1. **Window view.** A fictional tree picture stops at the trunk base. **Worked report:** “Roots are not visible in the picture; it cannot show whether a real tree has them.”
2. **Pet-photo crop.** A rights-unknown invented photo sketch frames only a puppet's head. **Worked report:** “Feet are outside this invented frame; I do not say the puppet has no feet.”

## Day 148

1. **Approved flower view.** Before seeing a school-approved safe plant view, a child predicts “I may see a pointed leaf tip”; after the view, the adult records what was actually visible. **Worked report:** “Only a recorded earlier prediction and later real view permit a genuine comparison; no result is supplied here.”
2. **Surprise paper flap.** Before revealing N4, predict a point or round mark. **Worked report:** “I can compare my model prediction with an invented drawing; this is not AC9SFI02 real sensory investigation.”

## Day 149

1. **Museum label.** A fictional display label says “every pointed picture is an animal.” **Worked report:** “I can privately explain N2's pointy leaf counterexample and call the source an invented display.”
2. **Friend's question.** A willing classmate asks whether N2 changed group between two sorts. **Worked report:** “No; our stated feature rule changed. Record the classmate's actual reply only if they really said it.”

## Day 150

1. **After the first check, map legend.** A new made-up legend groups drawings by a visible border, with one crop unclear. **Worked report:** “Keep unclear outside a forced yes/no bin and identify the author-label counterexample.”
2. **After the first check, animal-card game.** One invented card lacks a source date and another repeats a crop of the same character. **Worked report:** “Paper rehearsal does not supply two distinct real animals; request verified separate sources.”
