# Foundation Visual Arts / Queensland Prep · Weeks 3–4

Ten optional 25-minute starts for making deliberate choices about **size, frame, open space and surface marks**. This follows the [Weeks 1–2 line, shape, overlap and pattern starts](../weeks-01-02/README.md). The invented paper images are practice material, not examples of art from a real maker or community.

This is a teacher-ready **starter**, not a complete unit or an official assessment. A child can plan by drawing, broad fixed cards, AAC or neutral adult direction. A paper plan shows an idea; it does not show physical material handling, tactile experience or a real artwork encounter. School approval governs material safety, allergies, consent, source permissions, storage and any willing audience. A child may pass or pause. Do not infer a feeling or culture from a visual choice.
