# Original art prompts, safe process gate and exact fictional sources

**Prepare once:** Print A4 aids or use their [complete linear/tactile alternatives](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md). If physical art-making is approved, the adult selects clean broad blunt paper/card sheets and a large dry school-approved drawing tool. Adult handles any cutting; the lessons need **no child cutting, glue, solvent, wet paint, sharp edge, small loose pieces, plant/animal material, rubbing from a real artwork or forced skin contact**. Check allergies, sensory access, grip/stabilisation, ventilation, tool use and storage under current school rules. A child may place/mark an approved broad piece if willing, or direct an adult; record who actually did it. A no-material spoken/AAC/pointing design route meets the art-choice target but holds physical-process evidence. No printed texture proves how actual paper feels.

**Optional real living source:** The separate Science teacher may have a safe approved actual plant view or authorised local photo. If a child independently chooses to refer to it in art, record the actual source/view/date and the child-seen feature; use the [real source slot](AUTHENTIC-SOURCE-SLOT.md). Never supply an invented leaf, animal feature, species or growth outcome from these geometry pages. A child can make entirely imaginary art without a living source.

**Optional actual art process:** In Week 6, adult can offer large pre-cut clean paper/card pieces and a stable base. Child, if approved and willing, may place a broad piece in front of/behind another, draw a contour or direct an adult. No adhesive is required; a temporary arrangement is an artwork if the child makes a deliberate choice and can communicate its idea. Record who placed/marked each part, what the child intended, and what is actually visible. Photograph, storage and display require local permission; a neutral adult note can preserve the choice without imaging a child. Do not claim material properties from the printed candidate names.

**Real artwork and culture:** AC9AVAFE01 requires an authorised encounter with an actual work/maker/context; geometric prompt pages do not supply one. Follow the [source/authority slot](AUTHENTIC-SOURCE-SLOT.md), particularly for First Nations works. AC9AVAFP01 requires actual willing audience sharing, not a puppet rehearsal or a plan. A private share is valid if it happens and is recorded with consent; passing is valid participation without audience evidence.
