# Invented art sources, school gates and useful no-material routes

**Prepare once:** Print the [eight A4 aids](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md), use their exact text descriptions, or open the [optional offline digital activity](digital/README.md). The first source is a **fictional Paper Planet shelf** with a made-up **LOOP–SQUARE** card whose meaning is **UNKNOWN**. It is not a real school, safety sign, help point, cultural motif, artist work or instruction. Do not test children by asking them to obey it. A character in a fictional two-panel art card may show uncertainty and ask a school-approved adult; the school's actual child-safety lead chooses real signs and procedures in the separate integrated Week 7 block.

If physical making is approved, the adult prepares clean large blunt paper/card and dry school-approved drawing tools. Adult handles all cutting. Check allergies, sensory access, safe stabilisation, room movement, storage and any camera/display policy. The lessons need **no child cutting, glue, wet paint, food, small loose parts, sharp tool, pressure test, screen or touch of unfamiliar material**. A child may draw/place, direct an adult, use AAC/sign/speech/pointing or pass on physical handling. Record actual maker/handler and exact support. Tactile copies use broad fixed raised lines only with local approval and the child's agreement; no touch is a full route to the art decision.

**No-material art:** A child can choose panel order, name a connecting detail, communicate two visual options and explain an intended viewer path using words, sign, AAC, eye gaze or directed gestures. This is genuine idea-development evidence; it is labelled **PLAN ONLY** if nobody made a physical work. An adult can scribe exact child choices. **Real art and audience:** An authorised artwork/maker and source-stated purpose are needed to sample AC9AVAFE01. An actual willing audience is needed for AC9AVAFP01. Use the [source slot](AUTHENTIC-SOURCE-SLOT.md). No real child art, photograph, community image, song, cultural design or voice is embedded.

**Held checks:** Check M Day 35 and Check N Day 40 are fresh invented sources. Keep their [separate educator key](teacher/KEY-AND-NEXT.md) closed until the first child response is saved. Do not practise their exact shapes, answers or layouts in daily models or the browser activity.
