# SubjectNest · Foundation / Queensland Prep Visual Arts · Term 1 Weeks 9–10

**Days 41–50 · ten original 25-minute sessions · author desk draft, not classroom piloted.** This fortnight moves from the prior two-panel/repeating-mark work to **colour plus a second cue**, choosing what to make noticeable and revisiting an art decision. The second cue can be a broad shape, outline, line, dot or word. A colour-free version remains a full route. The art examples are fictional unless a teacher supplies a real approved observation and records its source/date. No emotional or cultural meaning is assigned to a colour.

## Start a lesson in two minutes

1. Read that day's [script](LESSONS.md) and [learner card](LEARNER-CARDS.md); the six moves total 25 minutes. Use the [20 worked context swaps](PRACTICE-SWAPS.md) only to connect to a child's interests. They are models, not real observations.
2. Choose one [A4 aid or exact no-print route](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md). Use approved dry tools only if locally safe; [materials and boundaries](MATERIALS.md) give a true no-material route.
3. Record child choice, source status, actual maker/support and any actual willing viewer. Use [Check Q](STUDENT-CHECKS.md#check-q--day-45--imaginary-seed-pod-cart) and [Check R](STUDENT-CHECKS.md#check-r--day-50--imaginary-station-clock) as new formative samples. Keep the [separate educator key](teacher/KEY-AND-NEXT.md) closed until each first response.
4. For real art or a real audience, use the [authentic-source slot](AUTHENTIC-SOURCE-SLOT.md) and school approval. The [exact ACARA/QCAA crosswalk](CURRICULUM-CROSSWALK.md) is partial practice, not a term coverage claim.

The integrated [Week 9](../../../term-1/week-09-show-what-we-found.md) collects/sorts actual or clearly fictional material data. This art pack may make a *picture about a noticed detail* but never supplies a real observation or a mathematical count. Integrated [Week 10](../../../term-1/week-10-what-changed.md) asks for portfolio reflection; this Visual Arts pack records specific art choices only. It cannot substitute for English, maths or the whole Prep Arts assessment program.
