# Optional safe making and honest source boundaries

No purchase, print, screen, colour identification, plant touch, material texture touch, family disclosure, body movement or public sharing is needed. A child can specify an exact visual mark plan by speech, sign, AAC, pointing to broad school-approved options or eye gaze; adult reads it back. Record **PLAN ONLY** unless a physical artwork was actually made. Locally approved large **fixed** raised lines are optional and offered only if welcomed. The [offline mark lab](digital/README.md) is never a required route or storage system.

If physical making is approved, an adult prepares clean large blunt paper/card and locally approved dry tools. Adult controls cutting, glue, small parts and access/storage. Do not require rubbing, pressure, wet paint, unknown textures or photography. A child may direct an adult to make the marks and retain authorship of the **decision** while the record states the adult handled the tool. The eight [A4 aids](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md) are visual PDFs, **not tagged PDFs**; use exact linear text or locally checked assistive formats where needed.

Week 13's Mika/Sol/Ren story is internal **fiction**, not a child's actual family or a model all families must follow. Its cardboard boat and paper flag are source-stated; colour, surface lines and exact shape are illustrator choices unless the story explicitly says otherwise. No child's personal album, household item or birth place is requested. A fictional artwork cannot support a HASS family-content claim.

For Week 14, only a school-approved known-safe plant/viewpoint can supply a **real** visible feature. Follow the integrated Science safety plan: no tasting, smelling, touching, collecting or identifying unknown plants; consider allergies, weather, sun, pests and access. Record plant/source, date, viewpoint and access before comparing any real views. If none is available, use the clearly labelled fictional paper plant and keep Science observation **not observed**. A different pen weight, drawing scale or imagined flower is an art decision, not a real plant change.

Actual artwork rights, cultural authority and willingness to share use the [source slot](AUTHENTIC-SOURCE-SLOT.md). A child's original work, photo, voice, name, family detail or completed record stays in school custody and never in the public repository. Keep held Checks U/V unseen until their days. Do not assign a fixed colour/texture meaning or imply the invented mark proves how a real surface feels.
