# Same-goal response routes and optional home bridges

Offer choices without assigning a learning style or diagnosis. **A/B/C are routes, not ability groups.** All preserve the day's source/art decision goal; physical making evidence differs and must be named. No print/touch/threading/speech/writing is compulsory. Read one source chunk at a time, accept pauses, and record prompts/support. Check-day routes do not provide answers.

## Day 91 · Choose where the strip hides

**A · Make/show:** Place one broad strip front/behind the three prepared bands; explain one chosen crossing.

**B · Direct/choose:** Point/sign/AAC the three crossing choices; adult repeats and places only as agreed. Explain one chosen crossing.

**C · Describe/plan:** Use exact read-aloud positions to direct a drawn crossing plan; select front/behind and an art idea. Record plan versus drawing.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** If you want, point to one thing in front of another at home. No touching or art kit needed.

## Day 92 · Try one part and decide

**A · Make/show:** Try one accessible crossing, notice actual event and keep/change an art choice.

**B · Direct/choose:** Direct one adult trial; receive an exact attributed report if needed, then choose keep/change.

**C · Describe/plan:** State a planned trial/question and keep/change a drawn choice. Record NOT TRIED; no actual outcome invented.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** Think of a paper choice you would like to try. You may simply keep the question for school.

## Day 93 · Make your original panel

**A · Make/show:** Choose crossings/space/one or two strips; make original panel and relate choice to intent.

**B · Direct/choose:** Direct the same arrangement and requested adult attachment; child chooses intent and visible choice.

**C · Describe/plan:** Draw/flat-collage/direct a panel composition with the same crossing/space choices; label physical process accurately.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** Imagine a shape picture just for you. Tell/point to where one shape would go, only if you want.

## Day 94 · Keep plain or make a mark

**A · Make/show:** Keep plain or make one broad original mark with chosen position/contrast and explain intent.

**B · Direct/choose:** Choose mark/plain, size and position by accessible response; adult makes exact agreed mark.

**C · Describe/plan:** Direct a mark/plain drawing or plan using positional description; separate unseen colour from an attributed report.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** Choose a made-up line in the air, or choose no extra line. No need to bring anything back.

## Day 95 · Fresh AA choices

**A · Make/show:** Make/draw new two-crossing response; indicate source fact, owned choice and actual status.

**B · Direct/choose:** Direct exact crossings/intent; adult mechanical support recorded during first capture.

**C · Describe/plan:** Use fresh exact read-aloud source to direct drawing/plan with crossing/intent decisions; no teacher solution.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** After school, if wanted, recall a choice you made. Keep the fresh check private; family need not retest it.

## Day 96 · Choose a dated stage

**A · Make/show:** Select two willing dated own stages; show one bounded change and source limit.

**B · Direct/choose:** Point/sign/AAC selection and change; adult handles samples and reads exact dates/maker as needed.

**C · Describe/plan:** Use exact descriptions of dated stages or labelled fictional illustrations; select one change and one unknown.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** You may remember a change in your picture. Showing school work at home is optional.

## Day 97 · Make your card

**A · Make/show:** Create three pictures for own actual/planned method, with art choice and process status.

**B · Direct/choose:** Direct three picture fields and optional dictated labels; adult preparation/contribution labelled.

**C · Describe/plan:** Give three short picture directions by voice/sign/AAC; adult draws if agreed or retain PLAN ONLY.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** Think of one small choice your card could remind you about. No writing or teaching family required.

## Day 98 · Try one card job

**A · Make/show:** Walk through the card yourself or with willing person; record exact action and keep/change.

**B · Direct/choose:** Direct agreed card task; adult reads alternatives/records actual freely given response and support.

**C · Describe/plan:** Privately rehearse the described card step; record self-review, no actual audience or material result claimed.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** If both want, show one original art choice to a willing person; otherwise keep it private. No report needed.

## Day 99 · Keep or revise

**A · Make/show:** Keep/revise one card detail using actual use/question; respond to actual maker’s purpose if available.

**B · Direct/choose:** Choose precise revision and direct adult work; describe own response to actual work/report without forced praise.

**C · Describe/plan:** Revise described/drawn guide or plan; identify actual encounter unavailable if not present.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** Choose a next art question. It can wait until school; no home materials or audience needed.

## Day 100 · Fresh AB maker story

**A · Make/show:** Select fictional stage change; create own short card/panel and record source/made/use status.

**B · Direct/choose:** Direct original response to fresh source; adult contribution/support recorded before feedback.

**C · Describe/plan:** Use exact fictional stage descriptions for original card/plan decisions; keep invented dates distinct from actual record.

**At home (optional, 0–3 minutes):** You may keep your art and maker card privately. No public sharing or family explanation is required.

## Record what the route showed

Actual date/source · exact child choice/response · direct observation or attributed report · physical panel / flat collage / actual drawing / unmade PLAN ONLY · adult maker/support · actual willing audience or NOT OBSERVED · next teaching. A private or unmade route is valid learning evidence for choices/development; do not automatically label it completed physical making or sharing.
