# Eight original A4 pairs — exact text, spatial and tactile alternatives

All SVGs are original vector illustrations (210×297mm); all PDFs have one A4 page and searchable embedded text. PDFs are **not tagged**, and searchable text alone is not a screen-reader reading-order guarantee. This document is the linear reading copy, with exact visible wording and separate spatial descriptions. Read prompts in small chunks. A safe adult-prepared tactile model is optional; no print/touch/screen or visual guessing is required. Adult-described visual features remain attributed reports, not fictional child observations. No copied artwork or cultural motif is present.

All sources are plans/fictional illustrations unless actual records are supplied later. No child answer, actual trial, maker/date/audience or durability result is fabricated. Fresh AA/AB alternatives stay held with their checks; do not rehearse solutions beforehand.

## crossing-source

**Spatial/source alternative:** Two equal-size panels side by side. Each has three pale vertical bands and a darker horizontal strip. A on left shows strip front at left/right, behind middle. B on right shows strip behind left/right, front middle. Borders and occlusion show the layer order without relying on colour. Both are invented plans, with no physical result.

**Tactile / no print/touch alternative:** If touch is welcomed, adult prepares two broad clean models or changes one model on exact direction: A front/behind/front; B behind/front/behind. Identify left/middle/right and which layer covers which. Do not call unmade diagrams tactile evidence or presume the model fits every child.

**Spatial/source alternative:** Large blank-backed panel in upper half with three separated vertical broad-band suggestions. No horizontal strip or front/behind choices are drawn. Below are blank first/second-strip, mark/plain and art-intent fields; no child answer preselected.

**Tactile / no print/touch alternative:** Offer three fixed broad safe bands, separately named left/middle/right. Child directs any crossing/space choice; no touch/threading needed. Read all blank prompts exactly. Record adult work and actual versus unmade plan.

## maker-stages

**Spatial/source alternative:** Three small panels left to right: 1 has three vertical bands only; 2 adds horizontal strip front-left/behind-middle/front-right; 3 keeps same crossings and adds a broad curved mark at lower right below strip. They are generic fictional illustrations without real dates or outcomes.

**Tactile / no print/touch alternative:** Adult may prepare a broad one-crossing model and describe each exact change, or read the source without touch. Do not claim child visual observation for an attributed report. Child may choose a different original method/card.

**Tactile / no print/touch alternative:** Fresh source only: adult describes upper/lower horizontal bands and separate right-side vertical strip without placing a solution.
