# Learner desk · the first ten days

Use the linked [fictional cases](CASE-CARDS.md); no family financial details are needed. On a regular day, choose any [same-target route](DAILY-CHOICES.md). You may read, listen to neutral reading, use the exact text of the [aids](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md), write, type, speak or move cards. Ask for a pause, uncluttered page or bigger print without giving a reason. Show where each number came from. “Unknown from this case” is a strong answer when the evidence is absent. On check days, use the **new check page first**; the separate worked key is for feedback afterward.

**Check yourself:** Is the money owed *to* or *by* the business? Does the statement cover a period or one date? Was money paid or only earned/incurred? Is a conclusion based on supplied figures or a guess? When comparing choices, have you silently turned a description into a recommendation?
