# Exact text and tactile alternatives · eight original sheets

The first six are regular aids; G/H are fresh public checks. This file repeats every visible text label and describes all meaningful geometry. A learner can use paper markers with no movement, sound, contact or filming. Colour does not carry meaning.

## A · Path grid

**Exact diagram description:** Five tabletop locations: H centre, F far, N near, L left, R right. Lines connect them as a reference grid, not a floor route.

**Tactile route:** Make a cross with two string strips on a table. Place raised H centre, F far, N near, L left and R right. Slide a marker only on the tabletop.

## B · Time strip

**Exact diagram description:** Both four-count rows are H R R H. A short horizontal arrow under count 2 shows gradual travel across it; a raised-dot position at the start of count 2 marks early arrival in the second row. Count 3 rests at R in both.

**Tactile route:** Make two rows of four raised count cards H R R H. In row one lay a long string along count 2; in row two put a small raised arrival dot at its start.

## C · Object map

**Exact diagram description:** Invented lamp token at far F, mover token at home H. A line towards F represents approach; a stationary facing arrow can point to F without changing place.

**Tactile route:** Put a raised LAMP card far from a H mover token. Slide the mover nearer for approach, or leave H and orient a raised arrow towards the lamp.

**Tactile route:** Lay three raised rows of four position cards. Feel row two change R to L at counts 2 and 3; row three changes count 3 from R to H.

## E · Structure strip

**Exact diagram description:** Two eight-count rows of numbered letter cells, divided after count 4. P|P repeats H R R H twice. P|Q has H R R H then H L L H, contrasting direction in phrase two.

**Tactile route:** Use two trays of eight raised cards. First tray repeats the right phrase; second tray switches positions 6 and 7 to L. Count one through eight.

## F · Choice log

**Exact diagram description:** Worked original A choice: hold R at count 3 for a right-hand sign, a possible attention effect, and an unobserved-viewer limit. Four blank decision prompts follow.

**Tactile route:** Use four large or raised prompt cards: purpose/context, changed count/space, possible reading with evidence, and source/rights question. A neutral scribe writes the learner choice.

## G · New passage

**Exact diagram description:** New fictional observatory display score H N F H on counts 1 to 4. Purpose: notice far window after near edge. Blank lines request one changed element, evidence, possible reading and limit.

**Tactile route:** Lay raised cards H N F H in four numbered slots. Give separate FAR WINDOW and NEAR EDGE labels. Let the learner change one card/mark and describe purpose without revealing a sample answer.

**Tactile route:** Lay two identical rows H F N H in numbered slots 1–4 and 5–8. Add separate FAR and LEFT panel cards. Keep the first row fixed; ask the learner to change one card in the second row.

The optional sound is four equal clicks, once every 0.75 seconds. Count 1, 2, 3, 4 silently, by voice, by fingers or with four raised cards; the device version is never needed.
