# Source snapshot, fact checks and reuse rights

**Checked 29 September 2026.** Primary source: [QCAA Economics General senior syllabus 2025 v1.4, March 2026](https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/downloads/senior-qce/syllabuses/snr_economics_25_syll.pdf) and its live [subject page](https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/senior/senior-subjects/syllabuses/humanities-social-sciences/economics). The subject page identifies v1.4 as current for students completing in 2026 or later. The PDF confirms: printed p.4, 55 notional hours/unit including assessment; printed p.14, Unit 1 scope and current-context requirement; printed p.15, Topic 1 matter; printed p.16, Topic 2 begins; printed pp.17–18, Topic 3. The PDF does not give a separate Topic 1 hour value. A search index can show an older PDF version, so this source snapshot follows the **live official page and opened live PDF**.

All named cases, schedules, units, comparative numbers, potential outcomes, voices and solutions were written for SubjectNest. **No actual prices, wages, interest rates, policy effects or economic-system rankings are asserted.** The separate [current-source page](CURRENT-SOURCE-SLOT.md) paraphrases two real and dated indicators: the [ABS August 2026 Labour Force release](https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/labour/employment-and-unemployment/labour-force-australia/aug-2026), published 24 September 2026 (trend unemployment rate 4.6%, with ABS methodological caution), and the [Productivity Commission September 2026 update](https://www.pc.gov.au/ongoing/productivity-insights/update-september-2026/), published 3 September 2026 (June-quarter output and hours worked each +0.4%, measured labour productivity flat). Both were opened 29 September 2026. Their units, period, population and limitations stay attached; neither is copied into fictional PPF data or used as causal/policy evidence. Economic terms and syllabus alignment are drawn from QCAA; arithmetic and frontier classifications are checked in [the desk run](QA-RUN-THROUGH.md) and [the worked key](teacher/ANSWER-AND-NEXT.md). Production possibility frontiers are assumptions-based models, not forecasts. Teachers record a date, original publisher, data and limits when replacing a real item.

PDF rendering uses DejaVu Sans under its [separate font notice](print/dejavu-font-copyright.txt); font terms are not changed by the SubjectNest licence. **Evidence limits:** No classroom pilot, measured attainment, verified translation, specialist accessibility review or First Nations community review has occurred. The PDF aids are untagged; offer the full text and tactile routes. No card permits a claim about a real community or policy. No financial or policy advice is given. Real-world comparisons, current context and school instruments remain local responsibilities.
