# Complete text and tactile alternatives · three A4 aids

The SVG files carry a title and long description; PDFs contain selectable text but are **untagged**, so this page is the reading-order source for screen readers and braille or large-print production. No meaning depends on colour, line position or alternating card placement. A partner may move cards only under the learner's direction; ask before touch. No specialist learner testing has yet validated these routes.

Read five numbered cards in order. **1 Foreground:** what leads? The invented Side Court example leads with Mina's final point. **2 Record:** what is stated? The invented score is 4–3 and Mina made the last point. **3 Outside:** what is missing? There is no complete earlier play-by-play. **4 Effect:** what might a reader infer? They may credit the final point with the whole win. **5 Boundary:** what can I say? Celebrate the final moment without assigning all earlier points. Each card has a blank line to transfer the idea to a new source. **Tactile route:** five full-word numbered strips, placed 1–5; the learner can reorder and verbalise a new example. The labels supply the structure, not colour.

Four large numbered blank windows: **1 Before**, **2 Turning point**, **3 After**, **4 What remains open**. Each has two writing lines. At the bottom, two separate lines say **The text states …** and **I infer … because …**. **Tactile route:** four labelled full-word cards in numeric order and two different full-word evidence/inference strips. Learners can direct a partner to place them and dictate the content. A fictional scene cannot become a real witness record by being sequenced.

Read five numbered cards: **1 Audience:** who needs this public line? **2 Evidence:** which exact source detail must stay? **3 Possible effect:** what might the current wording suggest? **4 Limit:** which result, frame or future fact is unknown? **5 Revision:** write a more useful line and explain the change. Bottom lines preserve **Before** and **After** wording. **Tactile route:** five full-word numbered strips and two before/after strips, read and filled in that order. Alternating positions on the page do not change the order.
