# Year 11 Queensland General Mathematics · Term 1 Weeks 3–4

Ten **25-minute** teacher-ready sessions (Days 11–20) continue the opening Year 11 consumer-arithmetic sequence. Use the [teacher scripts](LESSONS.md), give learners only [Cards A–G](LEARNER-CARDS.md) and the two [public check prompts](STUDENT-CHECKS.md), and keep the [public teacher-targeted worked key](teacher/KEY-AND-NEXT.md) for feedback after a first response. The key is accessible by URL: neither check is a secure exam. If earlier access matters, replace the invented values before local use.

- **Week 3:** annual salary periods; hourly versus piecework; whole-number payment boundary; commission; fresh Day 15 check.
- **Week 4:** a classified fictional budget; fully taxable GST arithmetic; simple interest; repeated budget computation with optional spreadsheet; fresh Day 20 check.
- **Access routes:** every day names three ways to reach the same reasoning target; a calculator, AAC, exact read-aloud, large print, tactile counters and typed responses can remove access barriers without removing the mathematical decision.
- **Print:** five original [A4 SVG/PDF aids and exact text/tactile alternatives](print/TEXT-ALTERNATIVES.md). The optional [offline budget what-if sheet](print/budget-what-if.xlsx) has visible formulas; paper is sufficient for Day 19 arithmetic. An observed spreadsheet action must be recorded separately if targeting that syllabus bullet.

This **partial Unit 1 Topic 1 resource** is not a whole Year 11 course, a QCAA Unit 1–2 formal assessment, a pay entitlement guide, a product tax classification or financial advice. The pack has been desk-tested, not run with a real class.
