# Learner copy — English Day 5 independent check

Use [Texts A and B](LEARNER-TEXTS.md). Write **80–120 words**, or give an equivalent response in a mode agreed with your teacher, to the fictional Lantern Yard newsletter editor.

Compare the public notice and Mira's private draft. Name who made each text and whom it addresses. Use one exact detail from each. Explain what the equal **$120** figures show and what they leave open. End with one useful question for the organisers. Mira speaks for herself, not every crew member.

Your source texts may stay visible. Keep your first response so your teacher can see what you can do before feedback. If you quote, use no more than six words from either text and name the source.
