# Look at a real source; make your own work

For a short contemporary-context look, use the [Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art collection record for Koji Ryui, *Petit pois #2* (2022)](https://collection.qagoma.qld.gov.au/index.php/objects/43676). **Checked 29 September 2026.** The institutional page identifies the creator, date, sculpture medium as timber and poly-coated wire, and states **© Koji Ryui**. Its prose discusses attention to everyday materials; that is QAGOMA's interpretation, not our own observation of a classroom object. The page includes an artwork image with separate rights. Link to the official page for looking; do not download, embed, trace, imitate its arrangement, or relicense its image in a SubjectNest aid.

**Teacher 5-minute source move:** open the page in a school-approved browser or give the [source facts](#source-facts-for-an-offline-room) below. Ask students to separate (1) record facts (creator, title, year, medium), (2) the institution's interpretation of the practice, and (3) a question a viewer would need the artwork itself or the artist's own words to answer. Then return to **A, the original folded card** and ask for an independent material decision. “Both use ordinary material” is a broad comparison, not a licence to copy a distinctive artwork. A text-only route can analyse the record facts without requiring sight of the third-party image.
