# The Arts learner cards · Days 11–20

These are **five different art forms**, each with two new choices across the fortnight. You may share with one trusted viewer or teacher, use seated movement, a puppet, quiet sound, large/tactile marks, AAC or a partner who acts only on your directions. Ask before filming or sharing; our media tasks use paper shapes only, on an offline school device if one is approved. Nothing asks you to copy a community-held cultural symbol or performance. The [blank workbench](../print/arts-workbench.pdf) can help plan, but making/performing/using a tool gives different evidence from a drawing of a plan.

## Day 11 · Dance · turn and pause

Make three safe gestures or movements that say **begin, turn, pause**. Try a different pathway or level, then choose the version you like. Tell a viewer which part shows the turn. **Home:** a seated gesture phrase or paper pathway plan is fine; performance is optional.

## Day 12 · Drama · one unclear direction

Paper characters Ari and Mo hear, “Put the box by the table.” Use puppet, voice, gesture or dialogue to show two different possible choices, then give them a clearer line. **Home:** use paper characters; no one needs to act publicly.

## Day 13 · Media Arts · two crops

Place one paper square and one circle on a plain background. With an approved offline camera/slide editor, make two frames that show them differently and add a caption for an imaginary viewer. Keep people and names out of frame. **Home:** two paper viewfinders are a plan; no upload or device required.

## Day 14 · Music · move the rest

Choose four evenly spaced pulse boxes with **one silent pulse**. Play or direct a quiet sound pattern; move the rest and listen again. What changed? **Home:** silent tokens are a plan; a soft tap or hum is optional.

## Day 15 · Visual Arts · symbol choices

Invent distinct symbols for **water, rest and materials** using shape and line as well as words. Show them to a viewer and change one if they are confused. **Home:** scrap paper, raised string or collage; no special supplies.

## Day 16 · Dance · a new path

Try a short movement/gesture phrase on a straight pathway, then a curved one. Keep the beginning and change one other part. Share one version if you choose. **Home:** seated arms or tabletop arrows can help plan; only actual movement shows a performed phrase.

## Day 17 · Drama · same amount in new groups

Ari and Mo open one pretend pack of **10** paper pieces into **10** singles. Ari thinks the amount changed. Make a tiny scene in which Mo helps Ari see what stayed the same. Use a puppet, gesture, AAC or words. **Home:** paper dots and two invented characters.

## Day 18 · Media Arts · before and after

Show **one ten-strip** becoming **ten single paper squares** in two labelled frames. Use an approved offline camera or slide editor if available; keep people out of frame. Let a viewer tell you whether the amount looks the same. **Home:** a paper storyboard is a plan, no upload.

## Day 19 · Music · question and answer

Listen to a quiet four-pulse call. Make a four-pulse reply that repeats one part and changes one part, such as a rest or sound type. Play or direct it at a comfortable volume. **Home:** quiet tapping/voice only if welcome; tokens can plan it silently.

## Day 20 · Visual Arts · route sign

Make an **imaginary** sign to help a viewer find a rest place: arrange your own symbol, arrow and text so the most useful part is noticed first. Ask one viewer what they see; revise one visual choice. **Home:** paper or tactile shapes; do not place a real directional sign.
